Aditya's Pov

"I want you!" I said.

"What?!! Are you insane?! Do you even processing what you are saying?!" She narrowed her eyes.

"Chill, will you?! I meant to say, I want you...to come with me, your father was calling you." I sighed nervously...

"Oh! Where's my father?" She asked, relaxingly a little.

"He was waiting for you, while you were busy dancing with that guy. I must admit you are really good at mingling with such elite people!"

'Don't act so jealous, Adi!'

"Thanks, I guess?" She replied awkwardly.

"So my father?—"

"—Oh never mind, he just texted me. You can go inside and rejoin the party. Have fun!" I waved.

"Okay?.." She replied blankly and walked inside with a confused look.

"Shit that was close!" I murmured to myself halting to the corner of a corridor.

"....Mr. Adi...please come to gate no 3 there are some problems!" I ran to gate 3 as fast as I could.

"Ram what happened?" I asked sternly.

"See this footage, sir. I didn't notice for a while that it was running on loop, for 30 minutes. I think—

"—Someone is inside who shouldn't be!"

"Yes Sir! We need to search for that person immediately!" Ram said.

"Don't worry, just inform inside security and tell them to keep an eye on every guest, discreetly. While I will go and look for that person. Ram make sure you inform Mr. Verma and Mr. Yash Raizada." With that, I hurriedly left.
I removed my badge and hide my gun properly before entering the palace.

I tried to fit in while looking around, I nodded softly to one of the security guards allowing him to join the search while others kept a close eye at everyone and ensuring their safety.

"Sir, I saw someone walking to left-wing," the guard said.

'That's Princess's Royal Chamber!'

I followed the lead but found nothing. When I was returning I heard a smashing sound. I quickly ran in the direction.

"Hey wait!- Wait or I will shoot you!" I pointed my gun at him. For a moment he raised his hand but out of nowhere, he threw a vase, knocking the gun from my grip and ran hurriedly.

I quickly collected my gun. "I said stop!" I warned him one more time.

"Guards catch him!" But he dodged them. Suddenly, the lights started to flicker rapidly but it stopped in a few seconds...maybe a technical fault?

I jumped from upstairs in front of him, he was shocked for a moment but pulled a sharp knife and attacked me quickly.

I didn't flinch in pain and I fire a bullet which hit his left foot and he fell on the ground, with a thud. "Take him in custody!" I ordered the guards. I eyed my arm which was bleeding but not too much.

"Adi! Are you okay dear?!" Dad ran to me with worry in his eyes.

"Yes Dad, don't worry about me. I hope no one heard the sound of the shot?" I asked.

"Nope, due to soundproof glass door and windows, no one heard anything. They are enjoying the party and the princess had already cut the cake." Ram said.
