Siya's pov

"Adi, wait! I—

"Why did you not tell me about your engagement?!" He asked furiously turning to me.

"Well it didn't come up—so I—

"It came up Siya! Perhaps you don't seem it remember our convo on the train...I asked you if you're into anyone or not?!" He sighed.

'I didn't lie about that, I wasn't into anyone not even in Salil for that matter!' I glared at him crossing my arms.

"Adi—

"—How could you do this? You knew what you're doing...didn't you?—

"—Hold up! I lost you there, what do you mean, 'I knew?' Because for your info I am not even comprehending anything!" I cut him off.

"Oh...- don't act all innocent, you knew I liked you!" I froze when he said.

"What! No, I didn't!"

"Then...why do you react differently...when I am close to you..." he took a few steps close to me and took my hands in his, intertwining his fingers with mine.

"Why do you react to my touch...and.." his warm breath fanned on the nape of my neck as he whispered softly, giving me goosebumps.

"Adi...." I tried to push him but my sense was betraying me. He was right I am affected by his presence.

"Tell me...Siya. Has he ever been so close to you?"

"No.," I said without realizing it.
His hand slipped to the back of my neck and brought my face close to his. Suddenly I heard a halt of a car and I pulled away quickly from his hold and ran back to my room.

I cursed myself what I just was about going to do?!

'That was wrong! That was so wrong! But why did it feel so right then!?!'

"Siya...open the door," he knocked at the.

'I can't face him! Heck, today my wedding date will be fixed! I can't let it ruin!'

"Adi...Leave me alone, and forget what just happened Okay?!" I chocked on my last words.

"Okay!"  He banged the door and I heard his footsteps fading in distance.

I took a deep breath and sank to my knees.

"Siya? Are you in there?" Dad knocked on the door.

"Yes Dad, give me a moment, I will be downstairs," I replied.

"Okay, dear."

"Dad, are they here?" I asked.

"No dear, not yet. Although there's an envelope for you." I carefully opened it.

"What's is it?"

"Umm Angel has sent me an invitation for her sister's engagement party, this Friday," I replied reading through the invitation.

"Oh, do you wanna go?"
"Y-Yes, Dad. Angel is a good friend and...I—

"Alright, you can go but make sure you don't go alone, take your friends...Tia or Raina with you, okay?" He said.

"Okay, Dad." I smiled tugging back the invitation card in the envelope.

______
A few days later...

"Tia, are you coming to pick me up?" I looked at the watch.
