I'm giving up on you.

Alive

You make me do things I've only ever imagined doing. Things I've only hoped I'd have enough confidence and drive to do, thinking over and over about when was the right time. You make me feel alive. You make me feel like there is hope and joy left in this damaged mind of mine. How you never give up on me and how no matter what anyone tells you, you stand by what you believe. Whether or not you second guess everything, you go by it anyway. It's too early to call this love, it's too early to say you're the best thing that has happened to me but I'm discovering myself as a new person when I'm with you, and I love the way you make me feel. The way I never thought anyone could, again. How you overtake the previous, making me discover a hunger inside me that only I want you to fulfill. 

I'm scared, you scare me. Everything about us is scaring me. Thoughts daze through my mind constantly. I know you're going to hurt me, I don't know when, I don't know how. But I know it's gonna happen and I really don't know how I'm going to get through this one. I've fallen, over and over, only over you. How am I suppose to pick myself up after someone I've gotten myself so attached too? You tell me you won't hurt me. You tell me you want to make sure I'm the one who hurts you, but I really don't want to do that. I rather have the assurance that I'm not safe and continue paving the wall I've built around me. You've managed to knock it down, you've decided to craft a doorway and you won't leave.

You leave the door closed behind you, not allowing anyone else in. I appreciate that. You make me feel happy, you make my urge for you strong, every moment you leave. Your lips and your kiss, the way they make me feel. You're my new beginning and the start has only unfolded. You make me feel things, no one has ever made me feel. You make my body tremble, you make me want you. You make me feel alive.
