Overly Sarcastic Productions (OSP): A sarcastic, tongue-and-cheek YouTube channel that covers various literary tropes, myths, and history. They upload every Friday. Definitely worth checking out even if you don't have an interest in writing.
4thewords: This website is built by writers, for writers. It combines elements of an RPG with writing; you can earn quests and earn rewards based on how much and often you write, complete with a customizable character, light-hearted story, and fleshed out world. The best part? You can tell the creators are completely honest and serious about their work. You start off with a 30 day free trial, after which they will send you an email to tell you your time is up and you can buy another month worth of time for just $4. They won't force you to pay if you forget to sign up, it's based on a pure monthly system and you can pick up anytime you left off.
Master Lists For Writers, by Bryn Donovan: This book is one of my personal favs and has saved me from the jaws of writers block more that once. It includes ideas for plots, names for characters, adjectives for writing action and sex scenes, and helpful passages on writing character descriptions and prose. I recommend this book to ANY aspiring writer.
Wikipedia: Hear me out. While it's true getting direct information from wikipedia is dodgy, it is a great source for reference material. This holds true for any project, not just writing.
This book: ;-D
