Untitled Part 8- Sophie

"You WHAT?!" Sophie shrieked, turning heads.

"Shush! People are listening. Also, it was Evangeline. Not me." Keefe defended.

"You could have stopped it." I protested.

"Ugh, Foster, why are you like this! This could be are chance to finally exploit the Neverseen." He whisper argued. I sighed.

"Fiiiiineeee. She stays in the middle floor. We can't let her upstairs, or to any other floors. She will find our stuff from the Lost Cities. Got it?" I pointed out.

"Got it."He agreed nodding my head.

"Good. Now you're telling everyone. Text it to the group chat." With that, I gave him a kiss and ran off to my class. 

The day went by really slow, but eventually, I was with keefe, Evangeline, and the new girl, Camryn, waiting for everyone.

"I still don't understand why we're waiting. I mean, you seriously can't just wait at your house for them?" Camryn stated out of nowhere. She was kind of getting on my nerves. We already explained 3 times, that friends wait for each other. That also got us into the dynamic of how close our group was. Biana suddenly came tumbling into me, knocking me over, and ut of my thoughts.

"Bi! What is that?!" I asked, getting up and poitning to the giant project she was carrying.

"OhwellMarellaandIhavethisprojectan-"

"Um, slow down a little would you?" Keefe told her.

"Right, sorry. Well, Marella and I have this project and we decided to bring it home, since it's due Friday and- " She hesitated before adding, "We have a lot of other work too." She added a nervous giggle as well.

"Oh ok. Speaking of Marella, Where is she? And everyone else?" Evagneline asked, concern lacing her features.

"You didn't hear?" Biana checked behind her shoulder.

"No." We all said in unison.

"I can't tell you everything, but that's why I rushed here. Immediate friends and family need to come. Sorry, um, what's your name? We have to go. Sorry to bail." Biana informed Camryn, not sounding the least bit sorry and she grabbed us and rushed off.

"Biana, what's going on?" I questioned, as she pulled us into a shady corner where no one could see us.

"There was...and accident. Marella, Linh, Wylie, Tam, Fitz, Dex and I ran into each other and were walking out, when-" She chocked out a sob. She fell to the floor, sobbing. We all rushed to her letting her sob.

"Bi you have to tell us what happened." Keefe told her. She swallowed.

"There was gunfire. I pulled Dex, Fitz, and Linh away in time, and Wylie had already taken cover. Tam seemed to realise what was happening and he pushed Marella away in time......I'm so sorry." She cried. Evangeline went pale. She ran into the school with the 3 of us hot on her heels. Everything was a blur as Evangeline ran into the school crying and shouting Tam's name. We ran into the halls, Biana taking front and leading us to the spot. We saw the ambulance taking Tam into the truck. Evangeline ran to where Linh was waiting to go.

"You can't all come in the ambulance." The paramedic informed us. I wasn't thinking straight, but Keefe was.

"It's okay. The rest of us will come shortly. Can you take these 2?" he asked, poitning at Linh and Evangeline, who were clinging to each other, crying.

"Who are they to the boy? And where are his parents?" Everyone shared a look.

"We all love together. We don't have parents. The one with the same hair as him is his twin, Ling, and the red-head with brown eyes is his girlfriend." Keefe explained. The paramedic nodded.

"Alright. Thanks kids. You did a good job calling. As well as keeping pressure on the wound. I better get going kid." He told Dex, Fitz, and Marella. No one said anything as Linh and Evangeline got into the ambulance. Or as they drove off. Or as the teachers cleared everyone out of the halls. Or as we walked into their house.  Or as we ate. Or as we all filed into the 2 cars we had, and drove to the hospital. Then it hit me. Camryn had to take a detour before she met us. And now, I found Camryn sitting in the corner of the room, holding Kenric's cache. The last thing I saw, was Camryn looking at me with an evil grin, before the world went dark.
