Chapter 16- Dex

*Right after Biana rushes away*

"Hey, Dex?! What's up dude? You look frozen." Fitz points out.

"Um..no it's um..it's fine...just..right the party!" I remember.

"What about the party?" Wylie asks, looking at me suspiciously. 

"We need to get ready. Fitz's sister put names on our oufits, so wear the right one or we might end up with bruises." I joke, avoiding using her name. Fitz catches it though.

"Fitz's sister? Did you guys get into your first argument?" Fitz looked really concerned. 

"No.......she um...confessed something.....then she ran off. We should talk about this in our room. The girls are waiting." I half lied. Fitz just narrowed his eyes, and we all walked to our rooms. 

Once we were in our room, Fitz slams the door, sits in the desk chair, and points for me to sit on the bed. Keefe heaves a sigh, realising that he has to sit on the floor.

"Spill." Fitz instructs. I just nod hesitantly, and explain what happened.

"So, your sister was telling me about how we're taking separate cars, and how she put out our outfits and all that-" 

"Wait, we're taking separate cars and you forgot to tell us? Nice one Dexie." Keefe interrupts. He gets glares from Fitz and I in return. Just as I'm about to continue my story, I hear a beep, from near Fitz. He picks up his phone, texts for a few seconds, then turns back to me giving his "Go on..." look. 

"As I was saying, when she finished telling me what was happening, she rushed upstairs and called "Love you! Thanks over her shoulder......" I freeze up again.

"DEX! Wake up bro. You froze mid sentence." Keefe says, shaking me. I snap out of my daze.

"Wait, what did you say back?" Fitz asks before I can continue.

"Nothing. She ran off before I could respond. Plus I was a little, um, dazed." I finish. Fitz and Keefe exchange a smirk, then Keefe slaps me a high five, while Fitz pats my back.

"Well, soon enough, we'll be brother-in-laws I guess." Fitz jokes. I guess I turn pale, because Keefe and Fitz are rolling around on the floor laughing really hard.

"Chill....I....joke...HAHAHAHAHA!" Fitz manages between laughs.

"Whatever." I grumble. 

When we're finished getting ready, I tell the guys that the girls left and we're meeting them there. They ask a lot of questions on the ride, but I can't answer most, so I just focus on driving us there. After a while of driving, I pull into the parking lot. I see our pother car, and I know we're in the right spot. We look around for a while, but don't spot the girls.

"Let's just go in?" Tam suggest with a shrug. We all shrug in response, and head into the party. 

"There's so many people! This place is huge!" I hear someone squeal. I immediately think of Biana. When I turn around though, it's some random human girl. I look beside me, only to find that Wylie and Fitz weren't there, and that Tam and Keefe were arguing. I spot Sophie and Evangeline in the crowd.

"Guys, I found your girlfriends." I sigh. Keefe runs off, calling out "FOSTER! YO FOSTER!" on his way. Eve waves to the person she was talking to and walks over to us.

"Hey! You found us! May I have this dance?" She asks Tam as the slow song comes on.

"Sure." Tam replies, shooting me an apologetic glance before going off with Eve. I sigh and sit at a table marked with our names.
So much for a fun night.

"Dex?" I hear from behind me.
