Chapter 10-Keefe

"Hello?" My voice echoed off, well, darkness. I tried to use my night vision skill, and rolled over, only to land on something. Or someone. I let out a shriek. The person stirred. 

"Keefe?" The recognisable voice asks. 

"Foster? Is that you?" I roll off her.

"Yeah, and based off the nickname, you're definitely Keefe. Where are we, and where is our friends? Weren't we just at the hospital?" She asked.

"Yeah. Then that girl, Camryn was there and I think she did something to knock us out." I filled her in.

"Finally. At least some of you are smart enough to figure that out!" Camryn said from somwhere in the darkness.

"Ahh, yes my daughter. These two are smart. Why do you think I chose them?" My mom said. 

"Wait, your WHAT!?" Sophie shouted from beside me.

"Oh, don't act so surprised. Keefe, this is your sister, Camryn." I was shocked. I felt Foster grab my hand, and I squeezed it, letting her know I'm ok. 

"Sweetheart, would you mind turning on the lights please?" My mom asked.

"Of course mother." Was all I heard as the lights blinded me. I look beside me, and I saw Foster clutching her head.

"WHAT DID YOU D-" I was cut off by a searing pain in my head, and took to the same position as Foster. I could feel my memories shifting, turning into something wrong. Then, my head hit the floor, and I was dragged under. 

I wake up in a room with 2 beds, side by side. Foster is laying on the other one. The walls are plain white, and there is two white desks, with white chairs, and mirrors. There are also 2 washrooms. One with shimmery gold walls, and the other with Ice blue coloured walls. I walk into the Ice blue one, which is obviously mine, and make sure all my hair supplies are here. All I can remember from yesterday is moving to a new hideout. I guess my Mom finally gave us that sedative to trigger the abilities. Speaking of my Mom...

"Keefe! Where are you?" She called from the bedroom.

"In the washroom. I'll be right out." I called, shutting the cabinet door and walking into the room. My mom smiled at me.

"How are you feeling?" She asked, a worried look on her face. 

"Eh. I'm fine. What ability did you trigger?" I smirk.

"You'll see soon enough." She replied, grinning back. 

"When will Sophie wake up?" I wondered out loud.

"Hmmm, she should be awake right about....now." She finished, just as Foster started to blink.

"Gisela? Keefe?" She said, sitting up.

"Hey. You're finally up." I replied. I pointed to my head to let her know to transmit. She nodded.

"Alright. Since you're both up, I'll let you change and get ready. Let the guards know when you're done and they'll bring you to breakfast." She told us as she shut the door. I nodded at Foster so she knew to transmit now.

Ok, something in my brain feels off. I think...I'm not supposed to get along with my Mom. Also, I remember 8 sets of eyes, and none are ours. I don't think they are from the Neverseen.

Keefe, I need you to share the memory with me. Just think about it.

I thought about the different eye colours I saw. There was 2 teal ones, one clearly a girl, and the other a boy, as well as 2 silver-blue ones following the same thing. One a girl one a boy. There was also a pair of Periwinkle eyes, belonging to a guy, a pair of brown eyes, a lot like Foster's, belonging to a girl(Not Foster though), a pair of Ice blue eyes, also belonging to a girl, and a pair of bright blue eyes belonging to an older guy. 

Keefe, I know your Mom did something to your memory, because those are our friends. She tried to program us both into thinking we are with the Neverseen, when we are really with the Black Swan. Those are our friends. The teal eyes you saw are Fitz and Biana Vacker. You've known them forever and Fitz is your best friend, while Biana is basically your little sister. The silver-blue eyes are Tam and Linh Song, and we met them at Exillium. You and Tam don't have a great track record, but you're friends with Linh. The Periwinkle eyes are Dex Dizznee, and you guys met because of me. He's a technopath and you somehow rope him into your pranks. The Ice blue eyes are Marella Redek's eyes. She is the gossip, and you also met her because of me. She is Fitz's girlfriend. The bright blue one's are Wylie Endal, who is a few years older then us. He's dating Linh. Lastly, the brown eyes that look like mine are Evangeline Foster's eyes. She's my younger sister, who happens to be dating Tam. You 2 cause a lot of chaos back at home. 

Wow. I think ....I remember! Well if we are going to take the Neverseen down we-

I groan in agony as another piercing headache comes. Sophie Looks at me worriedly and comes to my side.

"What's wrong?" She asks, concerned. 

"You triggered my memories." I whisper as quiet as I can. Luckily, no one  hears me, so I point to my head after all the memories settle.

Okay. We have and opportunity to finally take down the Neverseen. We can pretend like we don't remember them. If Gethen is ordered to check our memories, then we just act like he triggered them. I explain.

That's...not bad. We can go with that. If something goes wrong, we are leaving. She negotiated. I nod my head and we each go to our respective bathrooms to change.
