Last Day of Summer

I was in my bed sleeping peacefully enjoying the last day of summer. But that was ruined by my mother opening my door letting the host club in. "Tadashi senpai! We want you to come with us to this commoner's event! That way we can understand Haruhi's life better! But she won't be coming with us as she already does know. It's more of a field trip for us! So-" I threw something on my nightstand at him going under my bed. "Go away. Let the demons take me to sleep before they control me to kill you myself." After saying that I heard a chorus of awes in the room. I didn't move cause I didn't give a shit. I wanted to sleep. I felt someone sitting on my bed stroking my hand. "Come on little lime, go out with your friends. This is the last day of summer to do whatever you please." No. If I open my eyes she'd going to give me puppy dog eyes. I'll crumble. I just want to sleep. "Come on Tadashi join us. I bet it'll be fun." Wait. Kaoru? Oh fuck me. I opened my eyes to see my mom smiling with the host club. It was Kaoru on my bed.

I am dead. He was the one near me the whole damn time. Why didn't the others day anything? Sure, I've taken Kaoru out on like seven more dates. But we're not even partners yet. So, why was he doing this? "I need to talk to Tadashi alone for a minute. You guys mind waiting out there? I can convince him to come with us." Everyone left me and Kaoru alone. I felt myself getting all nervous. I don't know why but I knew something was about to happen. Gut instinct. I just don't know if it's something good or bad. "What's up Kaoru?" I moved up in my bed leaning on my headboard. He scooted closer to me giving me a serious look. Oh this is bad. What is about to happen? "I'm ready." Wait what? "Ready? Ready for what?" He blushed but still looked me in the eye. "I'm ready to be with you." He's ready to be with me? But I'm not. How do I explain that? How do you explain that you're scared shitless. You're scared it will go the same way like it did before? I grabbed his hand and dragged it over a scar on the top of my chest.

"Kaoru, you know where I got this from?" He looked at the scar with complete interest. I let go of his hand and it stayed there on my chest. But he went to other scars that you could tell that weren't medical scars. He shook his head in response staying silent. I took a deep breath in before diving in. "From Kokomi she got pissed I wouldn't sleep with her. So, she ended up cutting me while we got into a fight. Then she locked me in a shed with a really bad storm. In the dark scaring the shit out of me." He didn't say anything but listened while I took another breath. "That fucked me up. If I get into this with you I need to make sure you're all in. Not doin that shit. Also, telling others about us. Cause I want to show you off. Are you willing to commit now or do you want to wait? I'm willing to wait for you."

Kaoru seemed surprised by what I said. "Now. I can't wait for this anymore." I smirked and grabbed his arm pulling him onto me. "You better be ready. Cause I'm not holding back anymore." I kissed him wrapping my arms around his waist with the biggest smirk on my face. He was surprised but he wrapped his arms around my neck. We made out for a solid minute until the host club barged in. "What are you doing to my son Tadashi senpai!?" I felt Kaoru flinch slightly but I rubbed his waist with my thumb slowly. I smirked at the others and Kaoru knew what was about to happen. "I'm showing my boyfriend affection. Ever heard of that gentleman?" Everyone seemed shocked besides my mother. Wait a minute. WHAT!? My mom was in here!? "I knew you two would get together! I shipped you two together the moment you came to my home!" I felt my face burning but I knew I wasn't the only one.

"Well, all of you can leave. I need to change clothes for the day since I'm coming with you." The others seemed happy with that and left my room. Before Kaoru could leave I kissed him again. "We'll continue this later. I'll be out in a minute." I let him leave and changed clothes comfortable enough to go out. When I got out of my room I saw Kaoru with a coffee in his hand smiling at me. He knows coffee keeps these idiots safe. I took the coffee from him taking in the Carmel flavor of the coffee. "Now I won't have to hide bodies. Thanks babe." He turned red which got his brother chuckling at him. We left to go to get Kyoya and we got him to come but he was incoherent. We began exploring the expo but I felt like we were missing something. Oh shit Kyoya isn't with us. Where did Tamaki go set him down at? As I saw him with his dog I was holding Kaoru's hand looking at these idiots. Today was a pretty good day for me. I never knew that these idiots would be a new family for me. If I didn't leave my old school to come to Ouran just for my mom, I wouldn't have met some of the best people I will protect. I really want these guys to stick around for a long time. Especially Kaoru this guy ain't leaving since I'll make sure he will be the happiest he can be. That is something I plan on doing just like day one. Hopefully this sticks for the longest time.
