12 Days Before Christmas

Chapter 3

"On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me, ten lords a-leaping."

16th December 2014, Tuesday.

I woke up to warm sunshine on my face, streaming in through the gaping holes of my blinds. Well, i need to get new blinds. I yawned and stretched, smiling widely. Thoughts of yesterday came flooding into my mind and i immediately felt blessed to have a boyfriend like Cha-

"MY FAULT? YOU'RE BLAMING THIS ALL ON ME? OH, HOW MATURE OF YOU!"

"WELL, NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF YOU HAD JUST TOLD ME THE GODDAMN TRUTH!"

Uh-oh. What the hell was going on? It sounds like Lidsy and Taem. Oh my God, are they having a lovers' spat? Should I go out and check? 

I sat on the bed while weighing my options thoroughly. Ughhh, i hate having to stage an intervention whenever people fight. I mean, half the time, i just make it worse! But whatever, i cannot just sit here while my two friends are having a screaming match outside.

I got off my bed unsurely and crept stealthily to to the door, opening it just a bit so that i can peep through.

Oh my God, it was much more horrible than I thought. Lidsy looked close to tears and she had wrapped her arms around her body as if seeking assurance and comfort from herself. And Taem looked like he was about to hit something. There was a vein pulsing right on his neck, the one which Lidsy always  makes fun of whenever he got pissed at other drivers. And his left eye was twitching. Oh God, what do I do?

Before i could even formulate a proper plan, Taemin turned away from Lidsy and stalked out the front door. Just like that, he was gone. Well, what an ass.

Heart-wrecking sobs started escaping from Lidsy's mouth and I immediately ran over to her and enveloped her in my arms, rubbing her back and trying to comfort her.

When her sobs died down, i heard her say, "Do you think he'll come back?"

She sounded so small and not her usual self that i felt my heart broke into two.

"Of course he will, dumb ass. Why would he want to leave you? It was just a lovers quarrel, that's all."

"Well, oka then. If you say so..."

We sat there for a more moments in comfortable silence, just enjoying each others presence, when she suddenly spoke up again, "Edsy... Do you think you could go down and get me some Beryl's chocolates?"

I looked at her as if she had sprouted two heads, "Will that make you feel better?"

"Yes."

I sighed in defeat, "You're unbelievable."

Half an hour later, i was fresh from the shower and picking my keys up from the counter in the kitchen, "Lidsy, do you want anything else?"

"Umm... Can you go grocery shopping too? We're all out of fresh orange juice and bread."

I 'mmed' in agreement and was taking my coat from the stand beside the door when i noticed what Lidsy was doing, "Lidsy... Are you watching spongebob? And are you eating my strawberry cheesecake?"

All I got as an answer was a devious laugh. I rolled my eyes at her antiques and exited the apartment.

Ugh, the closest supermarket was 8  blocks away and I can't take the car because I don't have a license. Stupid Lidsy, why couldn't she just drive me there?
