12 Days Before Christmas

Chapter 5

"On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me, eight maids a-milking."

18th December 2014, Thursday.

"Oka! See you tomorrow, manager person!" Lidsy shouted to our manager and ran out of Blue Moon, pulling me along.

Once we reached the main road, she whirled around to look at me with a familiar mischievous glint in her eyes. Oh my God, theres another surprise, isnt there? Without meaning to, i let a smile grace my lips as i remembered the last few surprises my boyfriend had planned for me. I felt excitement rise up in me, what was the surprise this time?

"So Edsy, do you wanna go to the mall with me? I want to buy something for Taemin for Christmas. You can go Christmas shopping for Chanyeol too!" She exclaimed a little too loudly, which caused a few heads to turn in our direction.

"SHHH! Yeah, okay. Lets go. Ive been meaning to get a few things for myself too," I said nonchalantly.

So, we're both playing the denial game, are we? Two can play this game.

I hailed a cab and off we go! To do a little "Christmas shopping."

A few minutes later, the cab halted in front of the Stardom Empire shopping mall and we both got out after paying the cab fare.

As we walked through the automatic double doors of the mall, i felt a whoosh of cold air smacking me in the face and my eyes started to water. I felt the adrenalin rush pump through me as I saw all the tempting shops and the pretty Christmas decorations.

Out of the corner of my eyes, i saw Lidsy trying to restrain herself from running over to the Christmas tree and taking infinity selfies with it. I smiled to myself. Of course she would be trying to restrain herself, she had a mission to carry out. Now if only she would just spill the-

"Edsy? Why are you grinning to yourself like that? Well, nevermind, I know you're weird anyway," I was interrupted from my thoughts by the sound of her voice, "So, um, I just got a text from Taem. He wants to meet me for dinner! I wonder what he has planned for me?"

I looked at her in faux mild bewilderment, "You mean, you're going to ask me to shop alone? And you're choosing Taemin over me? Wow, so much for friendship."

I scoffed and looked away.

Lidsy looked at me with pleading eyes, begging me to understand her situation, "Edsy! Look, you know it isnt like that. Oka fine, this is part of your surprise. Just go with it."

I hid a smile of victory behind my hands. Yes! Plan worked! I finally got her to admit it. I should just be an actress, "Okay then."

She gave  a smile of relief and looked at me with  excited eyes, "Now, here's my Christmas shopping list. I suggest you buy my things first because they're very... Er... Limited edition. Yes, thats right. Oka um, see you at home!"

She shoved a blue A4-sized paper in my hands before taking off at the speed of lightning. Well, as fast as her boots with heels would let her. I watched her go in dismay. But, i didnt know what to do! How was i supposed to know where my surprise was? Sigh, did Lidsy forget to tell me where i was supposed to go or what to do?

Whatever, i guess ill go shopping first, then worry about the surprise later.

I scanned the list that Lidsy had given me confusedly. But... these are all my favourite things! Did Lidsy give me the wrong list? Hmmm.

I looked at the list again.

Should i call Lidsy and ask her for the correct list? Nah, i'd just pretend that i didnt know i had the wrong list. Im still sore because she ate my cake. Im going to get it back no matter what. Hehehe, time for shopping!
