12 Days Before Christmas

Chapter 6

"On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me, seven swans a-swimming."

19th December 2014, Friday.

"Jagiya! Wake up~ Eldina-yaaaah!"

What the... Chanyeol? Why do I hear Chanyeol's voice early in the morning? Its not even time for him to get back from Japan yet!

My eyes snapped open in realization and i looked around wildly for my boyfriend, not even caring about my birds nest bed hair or my morning face. I missed him so much.

My heart sank as I heard the voice repeating the same phrase over and over again. I craned my neck to look at my phone which was resting on my bedside table and yep, it was an alarm.

But that's weird... i dont have Chan's voice in my phone. Who put it in there?

Confused, i crawled over on my hands and knees to retrieve my phone and switched off the alarm. Wait, what the heck? It was already 11am! Oh Gosh im late for work! Where the hell was Lidsy? Oh hell, we're both late for work and we're going to get fired. Oh my God, we'll be hobos who live down the street who have nobody to love and hold anymo-

I looked down at my phone a second time before i saw the message that had popped up together with the alarm clock. Well, i feel dumb now.

"Good morning, Edsy! I told manager person that you're down with glandular fever and wont be coming to work for a few days. He said to rest well and that Tina'll take care of things when you're not around. Anyways, stay at home the whole day, okay? Hint: Surprise!"

I stared at the message incredulously for a long while before my brain started absorbing the words and i finally understood that i wasnt going to be fired. Seriously, trust Lidsy to give me a bloody heart attack first thing in the morning. Ugh, and she just had to mention Tina's name too. Thanks, Lidsy.

I rolled my eyes at her sometimes-thoughtless acts before getting up to shower. If i was going to have my surprise delivered here, i would, of course, have to spruce myself up. And maybe the house too. Oh my God, when did our house get so messy?

I sighed heavily to myself before reluctantly getting up and attempting to clear the pig sty Lidsy and i call 'home.'

After i was done cleaning (or at least tried) the entire house (except Lidsy's room bcoz no way was i going to go near there), it was already noon and i was sitting on the L-shaped couch in the living room while watching 'The Little Mermaid' with Burrito cuddled on my lap. I was just cursing Ariel for being so frustrating when i heard a knock on the door. Has it started yet, i wonder? I gently placed Burrito on the couch before putting on a poker face and answering the door, "Yes, Chanion?"

The man standing at the door was wearing red suspenders with jeans, a green buttoned-up blouse and a dark red stussy hat. He was not exactly tall, but he had a sweet, innocent-looking face with full, heart-shaped lips that any woman would kill for.

When he opened his mouth, i felt as if Cupid himself was going to appear and offer us both red velvet cupcakes with cream filling. He had the most melodious voice which kind of reminds me of the new red velvet mcflurry, manly, but sweet at the same time.

"Hello!" the man chimed, "I am Kyungsoo and i am supposed to deliver this to Ms Eldina! I assume that would be you, am i right?"

"Err.. Yes! Yes, that's right. I am her. Uhh, thanks?" I stammered, my poker face slipping off totally. I was so totally bewitched by this innocent face and red velvet mcflurry-sounding voice combination.
