After their classes, they went to the cafeteria for lunch.
Besides Theo, Philip had other friends, like Georges de Lafayette and William Mulligan. Theo's friends where Abigail Adams and Frances Laurens.
They all sat at a lunch table. "Hey guys!" Said Philip. "So, how was everyone's classes?" Asked Frances.
"Eh, they where boring" William said while rolling his eyes.
"Haha I know. Mrs. Click is so boring!" Philip said in agreement.
The group at their lunch till the bell rang. "Hey Theo..." Said Philip, "Wanna walk with me to class"
"Gladly, now hurry up or we will be late!" Theo grabbed his arm.
As they where walking a girl walked up to them. The girl is Emily White. She is lives on the same street as Philip and Theo.
And Theo was not very fond of Emily.
Emily places a hand on her hips, "hey Philip" she said. "Um hello" He awkwardly responded.
"We should hang out more Philip, now that we are in middle school we are more mature and we could go on dates"
Theo felt something tingle in her stomach. Was it jealousy? No, Philip is her best friend and she's only in middle school to date him.
The bell rang. "I have to get to class" Said Philip. "Um see you later" Philip ran away leaving Theo with Emily.
Emily stares her down. She noticed that Philip and Theo her awfully close. Emily huffed and walked passed her leaving Theo standing in a crowded hallway.

When school was over Theo wondered if Emily had a crush on Philip. Or if Philip had a crush on Emily...
"What are you thinking about?" He asked her curiously. "None of your business" she said teasingly pushing him away. He moved closer to her, "come on! I'm your best friend! You can tell me"
Theo shook her head. "Hey! Best friends don't keep secrets" He said.
"It's not a secret"
"Then why can't you tell me?"
She sticked out her tongue and Philip did the same. Soon they where both laughing.
"Hey, wanna come to my house after? Angie is dying to know what middle school is like"
"I'll race you" Theo suggested and started running.
"Hey wait up!"
"You won't be able to catch up to me!" Theo said with a laugh. Philip grinned, "I bet I can!"
Theo agreed.
They walked home to the Hamilton household.
