I had Rafe drop me off at these corner shops in figure eight. It was my dad's birthday today and I was looking to buy him a gift. I picked out a cute bouquet of blue and white ones, not sure what they were called. I paid and then walked a few shops down to the next location.

I saw Ward Cameron's Range pull up, him stepping out with a bandaged arm. He walked quickly into the police station, my eyes widened, he was on the fishing trip with John B this morning.

I booked it to the chateau, panting once I saw the docks. I felt so out of shape. "Where's John B?" I asked, "you good?" JJ stood up, "yeah, I just saw Ward Cameron walk into the police station and his arm was bandaged up" All their faces dropped at my words, "oh fuck" Pope spoke, "well you just missed John B" Kie said.

"Holy fuck, Ward Cameron killed big John?" I sat as the group explained everything John B told them, Ward Cameron was involved in the treasure hunt along with Scooter Grubbs. All these years, the three men were searching for this treasure and shit really hit the fan causing all these events to occur. I couldn't believe everything they were telling me, "what the fuck do we do?" I said, "he grabbed JJ's gun and dipped, we're trying to figure out what the hells happening." We decided to wait for John B to come back or if we heard any mention of John B from the police.

The sun was going down as I remember what today was supposed to be about, "Guys I'm sorry but I have to go, it's my dad's birthday and I don't want him to be by himself-" I began and Pope cut me off, "Chlo, go he's your dad. well let you know once we figure things out" he said, JJ and Kiara agreeing with him. "I'm sorry guys, I know I haven't been hanging out with you guys and I know I let you down with Rafe, but-"

"Chloe! Go home" Kie laughed, "Yeah, we forgave you and we know that you just got that relationship with your dad back. We're not gonna take it away or stop you from strengthening it" JJ said hugging me.

"I love you guys."

An hour before he had arrived, we tried making some dinner for tonight.

"Baby stop" I laughed at Rafe trying to flip the chicken on our make shift grill, "if it falls on the ground, you get that piece" "it won't baby, i'm the grill master" he joked, "please don't ever say that" I laughed, drinking my beer. "hey kiss the cook bebe" he pointed to the sharpie written words on the white apron he was wearing, I laughed at his stupidity but gave him a kiss anyways, how can you not?

I set the table with old birthday stuff I found in the hall closet, these bringing back very old memories of my mom. Once we finished, I cleaned up some and put the flowers I got in a vase, setting it on the table.

"Happy Birthday!" Rafe and I called out as my dad walked into the house, he smiled at us both. The guys had started to watch some sports movie as I cleaned up after dinner. Thanks to Rafe we had our power back on, he "borrowed" a generator from Kelce's place.

"Here" I said handing him the gift form Rafe and I. He looked so happy opening his gift up but when he saw the contents of it, his face dropped to something of sadness, "Oh no kiddos, I can't take this" he said, looking at the tool kit we had gotten him, "it's okay, it's your birthday" Rafe smiled, pulling me into him. "You guys are the best, Rafe I think I'm starting to like you" My dad laughed, "he's always liked you" I whispered to him.

My dad was enjoying his birthday, this was probably the most happiest and relaxed I've seen him. I felt like a good daughter, we had finally built our relationship up to where it was years ago. Once again it was all because of Rafe, I wouldn't have spent so much time at my house if the events that occurred in the past month hadn't of happened.
