I was sitting down on the armchair with Kayleigh sitting next to me while some random film played on the TV. I wasn't really watching it, I was too busy thinking about everything that had happened in the last three weeks.
The only good thing that had happened in the last three weeks was the fact that even though things were hard, I'd become a lot closer to Kayleigh, who'd started having morning sickness last week. We'd put it off as something that she'd eaten, since the two of us had had lunch together a few days ago. Everyone had bought it, but I didn't know how longer they would buy it, since she would be having morning sickness now and we wouldn't be able to put it down to a stomach bug much longer.
Apart from that everything seemed to have gotten worse. Jeremy was quite clingy, trying his best to get me to bed since he couldn't remember what had happened and claimed he wanted to remember how good I was. Luckily though Kayleigh helped me out whenever possible since we were kind of inseparable now. We also leaned on each other a lot more, and something tells me that everyone had noticed this. Summer was okay with this, since she was close to Christy and Ivy but I missed her and I had a feeling that if I missed her, then she missed me.
On the other hand the guys were slightly awkward around me. Josh avoided looking at me, but the few times that he did I always noticed that he seemed to look heartbroken. Matt, Max and Dan were unsure how to act around me and I think it may partly be due to Josh's emotions, while Chris seemed okay around me but I was sure it was because I was close with his girlfriend. Anna and Jay seemed okay with Jeremy and I and Jay had said that he was happy that I was happy. I'd just smiled and thanked him, although of course I wasn't happy. It wasn't helped by the fact that Adrian was acting strangely around me. He reminded me a little of Josh, in that he avoided looking at me much and when I still helped him with his dance lessons he seemed very tense. A lot of the students had recognised this as well, and a lot of the women hung off him asking if they could do anything to make him feel better. I couldn't help the annoyance and slight jealousy that ran through my body whenever he smiled politely and actually looked at them, because he hadn't done that with me. And it hurt badly.
"Remind me again why I'm doing this?" Jeremy asked as he dumped the rubbish from the bin in the kitchen into the black bag he was holding and I chuckled as I hugged Kayleigh to my side since she looked a little sleepy.
"Because it's your day to dump the rubbish outside" I shrugged and Jeremy rolled his eyes at me as he walked passed to the overflowing bin next to the armchair that I was sitting on.
He bent down and shoved the rubbish into the black bag, but some of it tumbled out and Kayleigh squeezed my hand as Jeremy knelt to throw it back into the bag. He paused and I saw the expression on his face, which made my stomach churn nervously. He stood upright and I saw the white thing in his hand.
"What's up Jer?" I asked him and everyone focused their attention on us as Jeremy looked at me wide-eyed. I frowned at him and he showed me what he was holding. I swallowed nervously and he looked around the room, his gaze connecting with all of the females before he held his hand out so that everyone could see what he was holding.
"Who's is it?" he asked, turning so that Anna, Christy, Ivy, Summer and Lisa could see what it was. This also meant that the guys sitting around could see, and Adrian, Dan, Josh and Max moved from their places at the counter to stand behind the couch so that they could see what was going on. I saw their eyes widen as they looked at the seven of us sitting in the room. Kayleigh and I briefly glanced at each other.
"Is that what I think it is?" Josh asked and Jeremy grimaced but nodded.
"Yeah, it's a positive pregnancy test" he stated and my heart beat quicker as my stomach churned and I tensed my muscles. I could also feel Kayleigh's increased heart rate since she was pressed into my side. I bit on my lip and let out a sigh.
