We finally arrived. As we were offboarding the train, I saw a big man standing a few feet away from the train's entrance. He was calling for the first years.

"Alright then. First years, this way please. Come on now", he was yelling. "Come on now, first years don't be shy, come on hurry up.", I stood beside Hermione, who gave me an excited look. The man, whose name I learned to be Hagrid, was leading us towards a lake. There were a lot of boats floating on the lake. Hagrid instructed to get four into each boat. As we were floating on the boat I glanced up at the castle. It was magnificent. Soon we arrived. We entered the castle. I noticed the floor was covered in white marble. The walls were covered in magical paintings. We all walked until we reached a marbled staircase. At the top of it, there was standing a woman with a horned skullcap on her head. She was wearing a long green robe. I could see on her face a slight tint of excitement to see us. I could say she's done this multiple times. We all stopped when we reached the top of the staircase. She was looking at us and waited for us to stop whispering.

"Welcome to Hogwarts", she said. "Now in a few moments you'll pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you take your sits you must be sorted into your houses. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.", she said making a pause before saying the last house. I knew it wasn't the best house, but it was one of the school's houses after all. "And now that you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points and you'll rule breaking and you'll loose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded with the House Cup.", she ended.

"Trevor!", i heard Neville saying from behind me, he pushed through the crowd and took the toad into his hands, earning a few chuckles from the other kids and a glare from the woman. He looked at her and apologised making his way back behind me. I turned to him and gave him a small smile.

"The sorting ceremony will begin momentary", she said and went into the hall. Once she was gone I saw Hermione getting anxious and excited at the same time. I couldn't blame her, I was anxious too.

"It's true then", a icy voice said making not only me but everyone there to  turn our heads to the person who began talking. It was the blonde haired boy I saw arguing with Raven in the train. I also saw Raven standing beside him with a smirk on her face. "What they were saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts.", I heard everyone starting to whisper his name shocked. "This is Crabbe and Goyle. And I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy.", he said now standing in front of Harry. I heard Ron snickering, which made the boy look at him offended and angry. "You think my name is funny, do you? I don't need to ask yours. Red hair and a hand-me-down robe. You must be a Weasley.", he said returning back to Harry and continued. "You'll soon find out some wizarding families are better than others, Potter. You don't wanna go make friends with the wrong sort.", he looked at Ron, I shoot him a death glare. 'Who does this dude think he is!? Going to him and insulting his family! He won't get away with it! Jeez what's wrong with this family and their obsession over the blood status!?', I thought. "I can help you there", continued Draco offering Harry his hand to shake it. Harry looked at it unimpressed then looked back up at the boy.

"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks", he said. Draco looked at him once again offended and angry. Professor McGonagall came back. She tapped Draco's shoulder with a piece of parchment she was holding. She looked at us smiling a bit.

"We're ready for you now. Follow me", she said and we all started walking after her. We entered the room. It was large and very tall. There was four long tables with students looking at us curiously. I saw candles floating above our heads. Further up, there was the dark blue sky of the night.

"It's not real, the ceiling", I heard Hermione saying. "It's just bewitched to look like the night sky. I read about it in 'Hogwarts: A History'", she explained and I just nodded keeping looking at the ceiling. We stopped walking when we reached the front of the room. There was a big table full of professors. I looked around it a bit. I saw dad was standing beside a man with  weird hat on his head, in the corner of the table. I turned my attention at professor McGonagall, as she started to talk again.
