Chapter 18

"Do you want to sit with us?" Abby asked, it's been a while since I've talked to her and it was nice. "Nah I'm good." I smile looking back at Alec and he winks at me. "Do you wanna go to the mall later, you know me and the girls could really need some Aveva time." she pouts, it's hard to say no to Abby she's just one of those pretty girls that everyone can't get enough of.

I sigh and cave in and a genuine smile spreads across her face and she traps me in a hug. "I missed you so much, never run away like that without telling me." She scolds. I smile through the hug. "After school?" She asks and I nod with a weak smile. She gets up and leaves my table with Alec and goes back to her regular table and tells them what just happens like she came here for a mission that was fulfilled.

Through out Abby's speech. Luke was staring at me, piercing his bright blue eyes into my soul. I felt the need to look away but I just didn't. I don't know why I just didn't. I'm not gonna lie, I miss Luke. I missed how we were.

But then again, this is the same person that cheated on me twice on the same day.

"Come on Alec, lets go." I walk out of the cafeteria while Alec walks lazily behind me. As we get out of the cafeteria I let out a big sigh. It's like the air is gaping at my neck when I'm next to Luke.

"I just don't know what I'm doing anymore." I breathe running my hand through my hair. "Come on, you don't wanna give up, you'd be the weak one." he smiles.
"Thanks Alec." I whisper and a genuine smile runs on his face.

"You don't have to thank me".

"That looks beautiful on you." Abby and Chloe squealed. "Ew you guys, it's pink...bright pink. I'm not wearing this, I have a ton of black dresses at home." Navea pleaded.

With all that's going on I forgot that home coming was tomorrow and I didn't have a dress or a date. "Come on, don't you wanna sparkle, Navea all you ever where is black it's sad."

"Cuz blacks a good color." she shrugs. Abby and Chloe gave her puppy dog eyes. "You can't make me wear this. No matter what no no no." she said and walked back into the dressing room.

They both sighed and took a seat next to me. "We're never going to get that bat out of black." Abby spits. I roll my eyes. "What are you guys wearing?" I ask both of them and they laugh.

"We got our dresses during the summer, for both prom and homecoming." Abby grins. "What about you?".

"Uh, I don't know I'd just get something from my closet." I shrug and wave it off like its no big deal. They stare at each other simultaneously. "We gotta get you a dress."

I was saving up much of my allowance for prom, a lot of seniors where. Homecoming was just an excuse for the underclassmen to have a dance. "What about a date you going with Lukey?" Navea pops up from the dressing room and I shake my head. "Sorry but those days are over, I'd probably go with Alec." I could see a glint of sadness in there eyes. We were all supposed to go as a team, you know the unstoppable gang but that's never gonna happen.

"Navea just pick something." I yell attempting to change the subject. "I have, they won't let me wear it cuz' it's black." That's typical Abby and Chloe for you. They never want you to be comfortable in what you like to wear.
