I'd like to know your thoughts.

Lara had just stepped out of the shower and was wiping her body when he flickered his eyelids open. He stretched revealing a peek of his abs, her breathe hitched and she buried her face inside towel. She couldn't deny that he was handsome, he had a well sculpted body and a pretty face.

"You're leaving for work?". He asked knowingly.
She smirked walking to the closet.

"You can see for yourself" She turned to face him "I'm late already".

He shrugged "I don't care".
She gasped as he stood but visibly relax when she saw he had a pair of shorts. She smiled as he walked past her to the bathroom.

"Don't you think it's early?".

She rolled her eyes "I thought you didn't care".

He chuckled softly shaking his head before he shut the bathroom door. She couldn't deny she found him attractive and his laughter filled her with butterflies.

She shrugged and walked into the closet she shared with him. She subconsciously ran her hands through his row of clothing before she walked to her side of the closet and dressed hurriedly. She was clamping her earrings when he strolled in casually with a towel hanging low on his waist. She hitched a breathe with her mouth hanging low.

"Like what you see?". He asked with a smirk

She laughed "You wish".

He walked past her to his clothes "Can I drop you off in your office?".

She couldn't see his expression but she was shocked he had offered "My sweet caring husband, my driver will certainly drop me off".

Noting her sarcasm he let out a chuckle and turned to face her "I'm offering, well maybe I could pick you up after work".

Lara folded her arms "Are you doing this for the public?".

"You know me babe" He had the audacity to wink. "Besides, Kcee said it could help our publicity status".

"I'm not interested in keeping a publicity status" She fumed slipping her feet into her favourite flats. "Besides, I'm heading to my parents' place after work, my mum's throwing a party".

"Yeah I know, she told me" He turned to face her "We have a lot to discuss when you return".

"Far from it, there's nothing to talk about" She walked out of the closet and looked over her shoulder "And oh!, Don't bother checking up on me, I feel like I'm an obligation already".

He rolled his eyes "That's cause you are, this wasn't what I planned for" He gestured to the both of them.

She fumed, not saying anything she walked out of the room.

He buried his head in his palm, he had screwed up again, she was an obligation to him and of course he was to her. He cursed beneath his breathe and hurriedly slipped into a T-shirt and Jean trousers, he was to meet with his publicist; Kcee who was also his best friend and maybe sign some papers later in the day but maybe he could also pay his wife a visit with an apology gift. He walked out of the room heading to the kitchen to feed his growling stomach. He walked past a group of maids who were cleaning and nodded to their greetings hidding his dislike.

"Good morning Aunty Nkechi". He greeted an older woman.
She wasn't a maid, more like his second mum. He had known her since he was a kid, she was his nanny. And since she wasn't ready to leave him yet, he employed her more like wanted her.

"Good morning nwam" She looked up from her cooking and pointed to the flask on the dinning table "E sielam ji miri oku, I ga-eri?".

He grinned and walked to the table "of course I would eat, thank you".

She nodded flashing him a grin and went back to stir whatever she had in the pot. He opened the flask and his mouth watered at the delicious smell that wafted from the dish in front of him. He scooped some quantity of the yam pepper soup into a plate and began eating.

"Aunty, this is nice, imela" He said between mouthfuls.

She waved at him chuckling in response "No problem."
