Early In the morning, Ming was ordered by Li Wei to take Xiu Ying to the dining hall. He went to get her, but she wasn't in her room. He then decides to check the rebel's room to see if she's in there. Ming knocked on the door.
The knock woke Xiu Ying up. Waking up, she saw that the rebel was still hugging her from behind. She then turned her head to check if the rebel had woken up or not. He was still sound asleep.
Xiu Ying, hearing a second knock on the door, try to get the rebel to release her.
Outside the door, Ming didn't hear anyone answer and decide to go into the room. On the bed, Xiu Ying listened to the door creak open.
"Sir Ying? Are you in here?"
"I am. Can you please wait outside for a minute."Luckily there was a panel blocking Ming's view of the bed. He then left the room to wait outside.
Inside the room, Xiu Ying still couldn't get out of the rebel's grip, so she had no choice but to head-bump him awake. She was going to give him an elbow to the stomach, but he was injured there.
"Uuugghhhh." The rebel groans in pain, loosening his grip on Xiu Ying. She took that chance to release herself from his grasp and got up from the bed.
The pain on the rebel's forehead woke him up. He got up and sat on the bed. Seeing that a person was standing in front of him, he looked up, glaring at Xiu Ying. "You!? Why is it you again?"
Xiu Ying had enough. "I what? Why is it me again? Is that something you should say to the person who saved your life not once but twice in a roll. And on the second time, I had almost lost my life too. Even though it was late at night, I stayed up and fed you your medicine. You also had pulled me to your bed and hugged me the whole night. I tried to leave, but you didn't let me. Do you know how uncomfortable that was? You should be thanking and apologizing to me, not glaring at me like this."
Xiu Ying felt blood rushed to her face. She realized that she had just exploded at the rebel. Xiu Ying then closed her eyes, taking a deep breath in trying to calm herself down. 'Gosh, I hate myself," she cried inside.
The rebel didn't say anything but felt apologetic towards Xiu Ying. 'I can't believe this young master from a high-rank family had saved a lowlife like me. And I.... I hugged him for the whole night? He must have been very uncomfortable. But... this had been the first time I slept so well.'
"Sir Ying, is there something wrong." Ming's voice sounded from behind the door.
"There is nothing wrong. Please give me a few more minutes." Xiu Ying jumped on top of the rebel covering his mouth. "Shhhh. The owner of this ship is my uncle. He happened to be traveling in this river and saw us. They don't know that you are a rebel. I had told them that you are my friend, and you got injured while running away from bandits. You need to act along with me if you don't want to be thrown off this boat."
The rebel just looked at Xiu Ying with a blank expression. Their faces were so close to each other that he could hear her racing heart and feel her breaths against his face. He then removes Xiu Ying's hand that's covering his mouth. "I will compromise with you. My name is Feng Yu.... You can get off me now."
She then realized that she was on top of the rebel and quickly got off him. "Good. My name is Ying."
Xiu Ying quickly fixed her clothes and went to open the door. "Good Morning, servant Ming, is there something I can help you with?"
Seeing that Xiu Ying's clothes and hair are a mess and the noise from earlier, Ming thought that Xiu Ying and Feng Yu are more than just friends. "Master told me to take you and your friend to go have breakfast in the dining hall."
"I just woke up, so I will go change my clothes first. You can come in and help my friend." Xiu Ying then left and went to her room full of embarrassment. It's been forever since she showed such emotions.
