Feng Yu opened his eyes after a while of sleeping. 'Ugh.... where am I?'

He got up and sat on the edge of the bed while looking around the room. 'This place... how did I get back? Don't tell me that young master carried me back here? Feng Yu, oh Feng Yu, what has gotten into you these two days. How could you get so weak after only one stab wound? It's not even as bad as the past wounds. Anyways, I need to leave this place as soon as possible.'

Feng Yu got up from the bed and opened the door of his room.

"Where do you think you're going?" asked Jin Hai, who was guarding outside the door.

Feng Yu was surprised to see him here but didn't answer his question. He just stares at Jin Hai while thinking, 'It's going to be harder to escape with his guards here.'

He attempted to leave, but Jin Hai lifted his sword, blocking him from exiting the room. "I wish I can let you leave, but I can't. It's an order from my master."

Feng Yu is annoyed, "Take me to see your master."

"Why do you want to see me?" asked Xiu Ying as she opened the door to her room.

Hearing Xiu Ying's voice, Jin Hai moved to the side. Feng Yu and Xiu Ying faced each other. He didn't answer her question but just stare at her. She directly stares back at him looking into his eyes.

"Stop staring at me, if you don't want to go blind. Didn't you want to see me? Why aren't you speaking."

"Why are you keeping me here?"

"Why am I keeping you here? Shouldn't you know the answer already? Just stay put and let your wound heal."

"Why are you helping me?"

"No reason."

"Sure? Someone from a powerful and wealthy family like you wouldn't just help a lowly rebel like me without hoping for any benefits. If you're thinking of extracting information from me, it would be best that you kill me."

Xiu Ying smirked, "Killing you would be a waste. I like smart people."

Feng Yu felt his heart skip a beat but don't know what it is. He felt another one when Xiu Ying steps forward into the hallway and up to his door. They both stare at each other.

"Jin Hai, guard him well," ordered Xiu Ying before she turned around and head to Li Wei's study room with Luo Li.

"Yes, master," replied Jin Hai as he watched them walk away. He then turned to Feng Yu. "Sir, please stay in your room."

Feng Yu shut the door and went to sit at his table. 'I need to get out of here. Uncle and the others must be looking for me by now.'

It was late at night, but Li Wei was still working. Xiu Ying went into the study room while Luo Li stood by the entrance. "Uncle, It's late already."

"You're are still up, why can't I be up?" said Li Wei as he looks up at her.

Xiu Ying gave a heavy sigh. "Why is it that you elders don't ever look after your health and make youngsters like me worry."

"Oh, that means you worry about your father too?"

"Uncle, please don't talk about him."

"Xiu Ying, even if you run to the end of the world, your father will still be your father."

"I know that."

"Your father is not getting any younger. You should forgive him and go see him before it's too late."

"What do you mean?"

"I... I am in no position to tell you this."

"Tell me."

"To tell you the truth, your father and I had been in contact these past years. A couple of months ago, your father had asked me to look into various kinds of medicine. I once asked him the reason why he needs medicine, but he wouldn't answer me. I don't want you to do something you will regret for life."

"Why didn't uncle Lu inform me of this."

"Commander Lu might not know of this. Your father had asked me to keep this quiet."

"Thanks for letting me know. Rest early, uncle. I will be taking my leave."

Xiu Ying left the study room with Luo Li and headed back to her room.
