Francis squinted down at her schedule, pushing her black glasses from falling off. She's kind of needed to get them adjusted before leaving to England... But she had forgotten about it in the haste of packing for the trip.
It wasn't like the glasses were too loose, but they were new and did often slip to the tip of her nose at times. It was annoying but doable.
CJ peered over at Francis' schedule, reading off her classes. "I guess it's a good thing we have our first two classes together!" She pointed at Herbology and History of Magic, the two shared the same morning classes for the supposed A days.
Following Francis was Julia and J, they also had Herbology with the two girls. Though they split off afterward, Julia had Charms, and J would have to go to Transfiguration.
Julia pointed to the bottom of her schedule, asking in a light tone, "Does everyone had Defense Against the Dark Arts as their fourth A class?" She played around with one of her bracelets, a rainbow threaded one. Julia had an assortment of bracelets on both arms, practically covering half her forearms. Though, Francis wondered why Julia would put on so many bracelets if they were just going to hide them with their long sleeves.
They all hummed, confirming Julia's question. Francis quickly explained without looking up from her schedule, "All the foreign exchange students are going to share the same DADA class, even though we're different years."
The Americrew were lucky to mostly be in the same year, everyone but Olive and Chris was fifth years. Meanwhile, Olive and Chris were a year above them, so the two were most likely to share at least two classes together.
The four of them continued onto their class, heading outside. Herbology was outside of the school, in a relatively large greenhouse that was attached to the school. It was supposed to have been newly renovated over the summer, so the four of them were excited to be one of the first ones to see it's newly built area.
But CJ had forgotten her wand in her room, muttering apologies every five seconds as they had quickly run to the portrait of The Fat Lady. As CJ had gone past The Fat Lady, Francis, Julia, and J waited outside.
The Fat Lady found J amusing, occasionally tipping her wine glass to them in cheers to their inappropriate but admittedly hilarious jokes. The Fat Lady even found joy in the awkward Hufflepuff, jokingly saying how Julia reminded herself of an old friend from many years ago.
Francis just stood there, a little put off from the pompous lady who was most likely a little tipsy.
At long last, CJ emerged from behind the painting, white (it was actually an off-white color with just the slightest hint of blue in it) wand in hand. She smiled victoriously at them and thanked The Fat Lady for entertaining her friends. The Fat Lady gave a hearty laugh, exclaiming, "Oh no, if anything they entertained me! What lovely young kids!"
Bidding farewell to The Fat Lady, the four of them quickly started to descend down the stairs, not wanting to be late to their first class. Well, J didn't really care but they didn't want to be left behind. But J's strides were three of the girls, so they were much faster which was ironic considering they were the one who didn't care much about class.
As they ran down the stairs, Francis kept looking at her schedule.
Her first morning A classes were as mentioned, Herbology and History Of Magic. She already knew CJ was dreading History of Magic, the girl never liked history. Even simple No-Maj history (which was a required subject for the first four years at Plafrarth) made CJ suffer terribly.
After that would be lunch then the last two A classes, Care of Magical Creatures (which she shared with Julia) then Defense Against the Dark Arts (which was with the other thirty-something students).
