Y/N's paws tingled as soon as she stepped onto the Moonlit Tribe's territory, a sense of both familiarity and unease washing over her. Familiarity because it was once her home, and unease because it no longer was.

She glanced over at Dabi, who kept a steady pace, and showed no signs of unease at all.

She began to follow, hoping that even just a little bit of his confidence would somehow spread to her. It didn't take long before they found a group of Selsas, who growled at first but were quick to back down when they recognized Y/N.

"Y/N!" one of them yelled, rushing forwards. Dabi snarled instinctually, immediately trying to defend his Tribemate and future mate.

Y/N, however, was quick to recognize the voice, and she rushed forwards to greet the young wolf. "Midoriya! Look at you! A full Selsa now, huh?" Midoriya nodded excitedly.

"Yeah! The entire group has been integrated into their full positions," he said, bouncing excitedly. Suddenly, he paused. "Mina! You need to come see Mina! She'll be so happy to see you again!"

Y/N chuckled, and followed Midoriya when he ran off. The others all rolled their eyes and huffed at him, but followed anyways.

Y/N entered the den area, and was immediately tackled in a hug by Mina, who kept licking her face and nuzzling into her chest fur. Y/N laughed, pushing her off and growling playfully at her once she rolled over, crouching down to the ground as her tail wagged behind her. Y/N also fell to the ground, wagging her tail, but Dabi's light growl reminded her why they were there in the first place.

"Sorry, Mina, but I can't catch up right now," she said, shaking out her pelt. "We need to go and speak to my father urgently."

"Oh, that's not a problem!" Mina said. "Ill go with you, then."

"Thanks for the offer, kid, but we don't need an excitable Pup like you to distract us," Dabi muttered, stalking off towards the Alpha's Den. Mina's ears laid back, showing how upset she was.

"Don't talk to her like that, Dabi," Y/N snarled at him. "She was my underling, it's understandable that she's excited I'm back and wants to spend time with me."

Dabi huffed out an apology, and Y/N brushed her pelt against Mina's comfortingly as she passed the young snow-pelt, explaining that Dabi wasn't used to being around other Tribes for too long.

She jumped up to where the Alpha's den was, and asked for permission before entering. She heard Aizawa's rough growl from inside.

"Leave," was all that he said.

"Aizawa...?"

"Y/N? You may come in. I didn't realize it was you."

Y/N brushed through the vines that covered and insulated the small cave, and was immediately met with the sight of her father laying on the ground, broken.

"Father! What... what happened to you?" she asked, rushing up to stand beside him.

"Y/N? Is that you?" he asked, his head turning from left to right blindly. His eyes were cloudy, and she realized that he had gone blind.

"He came down with a strange sickness a couple days after you left," Aizawa explained. "It's lucky you got here when you did. He can't see, he can't hear too well, and he can barely breath anymore."

"What caused the sickness?" Y/N asked, sniffing him. He smelled distinctly of decay, something she was only used to smelling whenever prey was left untouched.

"We don't know," Aizawa sighed. "The Zetas have tried everything in their power, and nothing has helped. All we know is that some strange wolf-like creatures with thinner pelts found him when he was hunting by himself, and when he came back he was sick. From what he told us, they were horrendously stupid, and when they left they were blabbering about the Peltless."

Y/N stiffened. "Aizawa, the Peltless... That's what we came to talk to you about. Or, what we came to talk to my father about..."

Aizawa straightened, and his ears pinned back. "What about them?"

"There have been numerous sightings of them around the Red Tribe's borders," she said. "They have taken out a couple of our Tribemates, too... One of them tried to approach one of the expectant Selsas and drag her off somewhere."

"Then they need to be dealt with," Aizawa concluded. "You wanted to bring some of our Selsas to help protect your Tribe."

"And warn you of the dangers they treated us with," Dabi confirmed. Aizawa glanced over at him, sizing him up.

"Y/N, you have always felt like one of my own Pups," he said to her. "Which is why I and the rest of the Moonlit Tribe are willing to do anything in our powers to help you and your new Tribemates."

"Than you, Aizawa," Y/N said, dipping her head respectfully.

Aizawa nodded to her, and he walked forwards, resting his head on top of hers. He had always felt like a second father to her, especially whenever her actual father was too busy with his duties to pay much attention to her.

"Y/N...?"

Her father's weak voice gained her attention automatically, and she walked right up to him and nudged him, telling him that she was there.

"Y/N... I love you," he said. She responded with a soft 'I love you, too,' knowing that he was saying his goodbyes. "Is Dabi here?"

"I'm here," Dabi said, stepping up directly next to Y/N.

"Take care of Y/N for me. If you don't, I give Aizawa permission to tear your ears off," he said, his voice growing weaker with each passing second. Dabi chuckled slightly. "Your Pups... they'll be strong..."

Aizawa stepped up to stand beside Y/N's father, lowering his head. Y/N and Dabi both followed suit, and soon, the sounds of the past Alpha's labored breathing stopped.

Aizawa raised his head, and he walked over to Y/N, silently asking if she wanted to leave. He got his answer when she laid down, burying her nose in his fur like she had when they found out her mother had died.

Aizawa turned to Dabi, and he pressed his tail against the dark-pelt's side, commanding him to follow. He was about to leave when he felt Y/N's tail wrap around his hind leg in a silent plea for him to stay.

Aizawa nodded at Dabi, and the wolf left the other two to their own devices.
