Jungkook took in a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves as he led the group up the stairs to his floor. He was really nervous, but he knew he was doing the right thing, he trusts them with all his heart.
Jin placed a reassuring hand on Jungkook's shoulder, comforting him and telling him that everything will be ok. With that reassurance Jungkook felt a bit more confident and comfortable as he led them.
Skipping passed the first couple of doors, he took them to the second to last one; the office that they had already looked around a bit. He slowly opened the door to show the darkness again, reaching in to turn the light on. It looked the same as it had when they had explored; the papers were still scattered about the desk and nothing had moved from their spots.
Gradually all of them came into the room, glancing around but then focusing their attention on the nervous boy in front of them, waiting for him to speak and explain.
"Ok, before I start I want to say that I'm sorry I kept this from you for so long, but I needed to make sure I could trust you as so many people have deceived me." He explained taking in a deep breath. "I'm just going to say it to get it over with. I've been figuring out how to make the cure." He closed his eyes taking a step back as he heard gasps from around the room. He didn't know what to do, his palms were sweating, and his breath was becoming shallow as the seconds passed. He couldn't pry his eyes open, afraid of what their responses were, until he felt arms wrap around him.
"There's no need to be scared Kookie, I promise we're not mad at all. We are happy. Happy that you shared it with us and happy that you're trying to do something about the apocalypse. Please open your eyes, everything will be fine!" A soft voice spoke in his ears that belonged to Namjoon.
After a small pause he opened his eyes, staring right at the men in front of them. All of them had fond and kind smiles on their faces, relieving him from feeling stressed. He let out a breath and calmed himself before moving to the desk, their eyes following his every move.
"I haven't finalised it yet, but I've gotten quite close I think. I just can't find out the last bit that I need for it to work. I don't know if I've gone wrong somewhere with the calculations or if I'm just missing something. I'm so close though and if I can figure out the last bit it will be finished and ready." He spoke calmly looking up at the group with strong determined eyes. They had their mouths slightly open showing how shocked they were. They knew he was smart but didn't expect him to be that smart, it was mind blowing how much he had inside of his head. He truly was good at everything; cooking, fighting and being smart as fuck.
"Ok now for the last room. Before we go in there please don't judge me until I explain." With that being said he led them to the last room; the locked room.
He took the key out from his pocket and unlocked the door, taking in a deep breath before going in. Once the door was opened fully, the most foul smell came out, almost making the men gag. Breathing in the last of the almost fresh air they followed in behind the youngest. It was too dark to see anything other than the person in front of them, the smell getting worse, so it was also mucking up their sense to the point where they stumbled over their own feet a bit whilst they got used to it. All of them had stopped in their tracks, waiting for a light to be turned on so they could see what was in the room.
Slowly, Jungkook turned on the light. Once they had adjusted to the brightness, the men all let out shocked gasps taking a step back.
In front of them was a glass room, but the thing inside was what shocked them. It was the things that had infested the outside world. The things that had caused all the pain and suffering. The things that caused all the death.
Inside the glass room was one of the monsters they tried so hard to escape from.
A zombie.
"Meet my mother."
I know its been awhile, I'm sorry but its out finally. Again, sorry for another cliff-hanger but I couldn't help it.
