"Wait a minute, your mother!? I just- I don't know what to say. How?" Taehyung shouted out.
"Well, as you can probably tell, she isn't fully a zombie." After he said that, they looked closer at her, gasping. "There is something in her blood – and possibly mine – which means that the virus hasn't fully overtaken her body and mind. Her brain is almost fully intact but there are some moments where she does change and have the urges that zombies have, that is why she is in the cage. She made me put her in there, she didn't want to hurt me or risk infecting me. She's always been a selfless person. When she was bitten, I couldn't leave her. I knew that she was going to die but I couldn't let her go. So, I made this. We can still talk but she can't harm anyone. Also, from having her here I am able to figure out what made her immune and whether I can make a cure for everyone, or at least a vaccine of some sorts. Unfortunately, she has been getting worse though, I don't know how much time she has left until she changes completely. It seems that the virus isn't fully inactive, it's growing every day. I've got about a month left with her, maybe less. I just don't know what I'll do when she's gone, she was the only good person in my life and helped me get through my brothers' death. What do I do when she fully turns? I can't kill her, but I can't set her free as she'd kill others. I just – I don't know what to do."
He had tears in his eyes now as he turned around to his mother. She smiled sadly at her son, hating that he has had to go through all of this and there is nothing she can do about it. But she's also happy. Her son has found some people that will love and care for him when she's gone. She feels blessed that she was able to watch him grow into such a loving and smart boy. And she knows that the six boys in front of her will do all they can to protect her boy.
The boys went to hug the younger, feeling sorry for him; knowing what he has been through. They wondered how he got through all of this and was still standing at the end. They could fell him shake within the hug and their heart ached for him. They knew that from now on they would do everything in their power to keep him happy and safe, no matter what happened to them. They would be the only ones in his life, and he will need them, just like they now need him.
After the hug the boys spoke with Jungkook's mother for a bit, learning more and more about him. They heard many stories about his childhood; some bad but most of them were happy and funny stories. The boys then decided to leave the two alone and go make a meal for them. They knew that Jungkook needs time with his mother so he can spend as much time as he can with her.
Instead of them all cooking, they decided that Jin and Yoongi should cook as the others aren't the best at cooking. Whilst they were cooking, the others decided to just go into the living room and talk for a little bit.
Once food was finished they decided to go eat with Jungkook and his mother so that they could get to know her and be with Jungkook. They talked, ate and laughed; enjoying each other's company until they all left to go to bed.
Sorry that the chapter is shorter, but I didn't know what else to add on and I thought it was a better ending than a cliff-hanger. Anyway, I hope you liked it and thank you for reading!
