MATTIA POLIBIO A FRIEND MORE THAN A LOVER

Chapter 19

Tia froze. "Can we please talk?" Our usual talking couch is covered with boxes and I have no doubt Mattia's room looks exactly the same. I walked to my room hoping that he would follow, which he did. Once we both sat down I let out a small sigh. "I don't want you to leave Tia. I want you to stay here with me. I'm sorry for what I said when you confessed. I was just shocked and didn't think straight. You've always been there for me and done the sweetest of things just to make me happy. I don't want you to get the wrong idea either. I don't love you. I see you as just another one of the guys, but I am willing to give you a chance to fix that. I love Kairi and I will always love him, but my love for Kairi is a bit different now. I don't love him like a girlfriend loves her boyfriend. I love him the same way I love Alejandro, Roshaun and Robert. I love him like I love all my guy friends. I am over him. There will never be anything between me and him again. I want your love Tia, but I also want to be able to give you the love you deserve." I look away from him. That was hard. He got up and walked to me. "One chance is all I'm asking for and if I don't win your heart I will never bother you again." I nodded my head in agreement. He kissed my cheek and started unpacking his boxes.

Once Tia was done unpacking we plopped down on the couch and I put on The Joker. "That guy is so creepy," he said. "I think he is kind of hot." Tia looked at me as if I had two heads. Then he got up and started doing the jokers dance. I couldn't watch this. He is going to spoil The Joker for me. I got up to make him stop, but we both just ended up falling on the couch. Tia put his head on my lap. I ran my hand through his hair and kissed his forehead.

Later that night I got a call from Alejandro. He just called to check if I was still alive. We talked for a bit and then I decided it was time for me to go sleep. I went into my room and checked my draws. There was a new blue photo album. This one had pictures of me and Mattia. I smiled and put it back. This boy really goes all out sometimes.

The next morning Tia woke me up with bed-in-breakfast. I think I need to give him the 'I don't do cheesy' speech I gave Kairi, but I can't say no to coffee. When I was finished he said I must get dressed because we are going to his parents place. I put on my sweat pants and a hoodie. When we got there Mrs. Polibio kissed my cheek and we sat down for some tea. Yes I do drink tea, I just love coffee more. The boys went to go kick a ball around in the yard. When I went to go see how they were doing Mattia was shirtless and sweaty. He put a band on to keep the hair out of his face and I couldn't help, but laugh at how funny he looked. He heard me laughing. "What are you laughing at?" I smiled innocently, "You." Mattia gave a devils grin and before I even made it back inside the house he had me over his shoulders. "Say sorry." Tia started hopping around making me dizzy. I couldn't see straight. "I'm sorry!" he finally stopped and put me down. He kissed my cheek and went back to playing with his brother. This boy will be the death of me. When I got back inside Mrs. Polibio gave me that all knowing face. I laughed it off and decided to go chill in Mattia's room till it was time to go. I didn't know how, but I soon fell asleep on his bed.

I woke up with the boys all jumping on top of me. "Every single one of y'alls asses is bigger than mine and now you want to lay on top of me. I won't get skinnier, but I might just turn into a pancake, so get the fuck off." They eventually decided to get off of me. Are these boys jas to want to come lay on me like that. Ek kon foken vrek gewees. "Hurry up Anna. You staying at my place tonight we need to get you ready for your date tomorrow." Alejandro pulls at my arm. "Julle is almal jas." They all look a me like I've grown three heads. Damn, i forgot they don't know Afrikaans. "Let's just go." I got up and marched out.

When Alejandro got in the car he asked me what i said and i told him i said that they are all mad. He laughed and said that it sounded like i cursed them all to hell. I burst out laughing. "So what is this date?" i asked him. "You and Mattia are going on a date tomorrow." These people made no sense. "Why couldn't i get done at my place?" "Because it's a surprise and it will be more romantic this way." These people need serious help.

When we got to Alejandro's place Daisy was there and she was sleeping over too so that she can help me get done in the morning. Daisy makes Alejandro drive us around. We got our hair and nails done. Anna said we will have to do light makeup early tomorrow morning. I cringed at the word early.

The next moring at 5 fucking am these fucktards decide to wake me up. It took Daisy three hours to do my make up and hair again. I didn't understand why it took so long. And i ended up wearing a floral dress Alejandro bought for me, i nearly killed him when he showed me. When i was finally done Alejandro walked me outside and there was Mattia with flowers in his hand. Ah fuck this is going to be so cheesy and cringey, but damn he looked good.
