The story about Mr and Mrs Jones and their daughter:
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Parker , Moma's mom, was adopted by a rich family when she was 16 after her parents died in a house fire. Lizzy wasn't used to the kind of lifestyle that her foster parents had. She was used to the "ghetto" life.
Lizzy hung out with much older people, went to college parties, wouldn't sleep home for a week straight. She was a basic thot.
Things were different for her now. She went to a private school. She had a curfew. She couldn't go to parties unless they were hosted by someone her foster parents knew.
At school, she met this boy name Anthony, Anthony Jones. He was the Quarterback for the school's football team. Lizzy and Anthony hung out for a while and eventually started dating.
After one of Anthony's games, Lizzy told her foster parents that she was going to sleep over at a friend's house for a few days to do a science project, which was obviously a lie because everyone knew that after each game one of the players would throw this big ass party.
Anthony picked Lizzy up from a friend's house and they drove to the party. They got a few drinks and started dancing. Lizzy led Anthony to one of the rooms in the house and they obviously started kissing and did the dirty.
A few weeks after the party Lizzy missed her period. She thought maybe it wasn't a big deal so she went on with her life. She missed her period three months in a row and she was getting a little concerned. She told Anthony about it and he took her to a clinic to get tested...
Lizzy was 13 weeks pregnant. Which meant it was too late for her to terminate her pregnancy. She told her foster parents and...well they kicked her out.
Since both Anthony and Lizzy were still in high school, they didn't know how they were going to take care of this baby. Lizzy contacted one of her old friends to try and get Anthony a good paying job.
Of course, he had to sell drugs. Anthony wasn't proud of it, but he did what he had to do to take care of his girlfriend and baby. By the time the baby was born, yes Moma was the baby , Anthony and Lizzy lived in a good and affordable home. On Moma's 5th birthday, Lizzy and Anthony got married... nothing extravagant, just a couple of friends and Anthony's family.
When Moma was old enough to go to school, Lizzy also had to start dealing drugs since they had so many bills to pay. It went well in the beginning but Lizzy thought it was a good idea to "test" some of the products.
She would get really high and forgot to fetch Moma from school. She would forget to do her job. She would forget the pots on the stove. She was completely fucked up.
Anthony was having none of her bullshit. He would hide the drugs from her every morning before going to work. When Lizzy bought more drugs and Anthony tried to stop her from taking them, they would get into fights.
Moma was always told that her father was the one who forced her mother into doing drugs and beat her up if she didn't. Moma was always told that her father was an abusive crackhead who broke her mother.
Even though her mother used the drugs right in front of her, she believed the stories she was told. She hated her mother for allowing her father to do that to her and she hated her father for all the things he did to her mother.
When Moma was 12 years old, she heard her parents arguing downstairs. She heard the sound of plates breaking, punches, slaps, everything. Then there was silence. She didn't want to go downstairs because her parents had taught her to never try to get involved when grown ups were fighting.
She took the house phone and called Miss Mikaelson, a family friend. She told her about everything that has been happening.
After a few minutes Moma heard a car pull up in the driveway. Then she heard footsteps approaching her room. The door opened and Jenny, Miss Mikaelson's daughter, walked in and hugged Moma. (Jenny was about 10 years older than Moma.)
Jenny told Moma that her parents had left and that they might not come back anytime soon. Miss Mikaelson and Jenny helped pack Moma's belongings so that she could move in with Miss Mikaelson.
On their way to Miss Mikaelson's house, Jenny asked if Moma could move in with her instead, she said she could help pay her school fees and anything else that Moma might need.
5 years later, Moma is a 17 year old high school student who thought she would never see any of her parents ever again...
Moma's POV
I woke up to the sound of pots and pans in the kitchen. I ran my hand through my hair and walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror, yep I looked terrible. I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. I put on some black sweatpants, a black hoodie, my white AF1s and I tied my hair in a bun.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. My mom was playing some really old jazz music while making breakfast.
I switched off the music and turned on the TV to watch some Netflix. "Why did you do that?" She said like an upset five year old. "I want to watch my series." I said with my mouth full. She sighed and brought me a plate with some waffles.
"So..." I said picking at my food with a fork, "when last did you see dad?" "Oh sweetie, I haven't seen your dad in years." She said walking with a tray full of food. The fuck, you didn't buy those. "Why not?" "Can we not talk about this now, I'm just trying to enjoy my breakfast with my daughter. Is that too much to ask?" "Damn okay." "Wait, why aren't you at school?" I rolled my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me young lady." She said with her finger pointing at me "The teachers at my school are at some camp." I said with a fake smile.
I finished my food and put my plate and cutlery in the dishwasher then grabbed my car keys. "I'm going out for a while with Monica, should I get you anything?" "Who's Monica?" "If you hadn't left you would know." I mumbled softly. "Huh?" She said looking up from her plate. "Nothing, bye."
