Chapter 31

Y/N's Pov 🥤

I come out of the bedroom after I finished changing. Kairi already made breakfast so I sit down and eat with him.

Today is friday.

"Kai what are you doing today?" I ask putting a spoonful of yogurt in my mouth.

"Nothing, how about you?"

"I'm going to hangout with Kairi later." I respond back checking the time on my phone.

He's silent so I look up and see him giving me a concerned face. "What?"

"Nothing, have fun." He says coughing and standing up heading to the kitchen to take a phone call.

Kairi's Pov 🥤

"Dad."

Y/N's Pov 🥤

"Umm Y/N," Kairi says causing me to look up from my phone,"I'm going to my moms house something happened."

"Oh shit, you want me to go?" I say starting to push myself up from the chair.

He hesitates before saying," No it's fine." He shoots me a smile and grabs his keys jogging out of the front door.

Okay then..

Kairi's Pov 🥤

I get in my car and immediately back out speeding out of the campus. I get on the freeway and slow down as i'm stuck in traffic. "Fuck." I growl under my breathe hitting my steering wheel.

I notice that the radio is muted so I turn it on. Lights up starts to play and my shoulders rest and I start to breathe at a normal pace as I relax. Breathe in, breathe out. The traffic starts to go down as I exit the freeway.

My mom broke her arm. My dad called and said she tried to catch herself while she was falling down the stairs. Her and Maiya are at the hospital and he's, somewhere I don't exactly know.

I rush into the hospital telling the lady at the front my mothers name and in return her room number. I run up the stairs panting and open the stair doors stopping to see Maiya crying in a seat. "Maiya! What happened, you okay??" I say running towards her.

"Yea," She says wiping her nose,"She's in there." She points at the big two white doors leading into her room. I give Maiya a big hug and walk in.

Y/N's Pov 🥤

(The Kairi in this part is Kairi M.)

"So what do you want to do?" I ask him as I hop into his car.

"Want to go watch a movie?" He asks.

"Sure!" I say smiling towards him.

We arrive at the movie theater and I get out of his car noticing that I forgot a jacket. I hold the sides of my arms as we walk out of the parking lot.

"Are you cold?" He asks.

"No-," He hands me his jacket and smiles. I return the smile and put it on walking into the building.

First Pov!!

Kairi M.'s Pov 🥤

You know i'll treat you better. I've known you longer. Remember you said you loved me in fifth grade? Do you still feel the same way? I know you meant it as a friend but, that can change right. I look over to Y/N and smile silently.

"What movie? How many tickets?"

"The Grudge, and two." I say to the woman on the other side of the window.

"Your receipt. Thank you for choosing R theaters."

"Thank you." I say to the lady. I stop myself from grabbing Y/N's hand and turn around quickly red. "Let's go inside." I say covering my face with one hand and using the other to point.

"Yea.." She says slowly grabbing my hand and pulling me inside.

I take a deep breathe and follow her inside.
