Kairi's pov

"Kairi wake up," Y/N says shaking me.

"Whattt let me sleep." I say pushing her off of me.

"Kairi your phone won't stop ringing." She says handing me my phone as I ruffle my hair getting up. We put the seats back into their normal spots as I start the car.

I check my recent calls and see an unknown number. I ignore it and back out of the parking lot.

"What do you want?" I ask Y/N.

"What do you mean?"

"For breakfast dummy."

"Mcdonald's?" She asks.

"Sure." I exit the freeway and make my way to the Mcdonald's. My phone gets a notification and Y/N picks it up to read it off to me.

"She opens my phone and taps it for a bit before saying,"Aww tomorrow is your moms birthday!"

I smile at the thought of my mom. She's an amazing person, so loving and caring. I love her so much, me and Maiya. I'm glad I got rid of the monster who would have control over her. Now she's free and healthy, I don't know what I would do without her.

"Kairi watch out!" Y/N says pulling the steering wheel to the right. She swerves the car to the side, barley missing another truck.

"Dumbass! Almost got us killed."

"Sorry!" I say putting both hands on the steering wheel and looking foward.  I curve down multiple streets trying to find a mcdonald's.

"Why didn't you just search it up-" She's interrupted by my phone ringing again.

"Ughhh can you put it on speaker." I say glancing over to her.

"Yeah of course."

Hello this is the Healthcare hospital on South Wilset street. Doctor Esher would like to send you a message. Press 0 to accept.

I nod at Y/N signaling to her to press 0.

*beep*

Hello? Kairi?

I cough slightly," Yes Doctor?"

Hi yes, we have some bad news.

Y/N looks over at me with a nervous look. I pull into the Mcdonald's parking lot, immediately stopping the car.

"What's wrong." I say grabbing the phone in my own shaking hands.

I am so sorry you have to hear this from me but, Your mother has passed.

What.

I drop the phone, letting it fall down into the pedal. Y/N scurry's after it talking to the doctor.

I sit still frozen in the chair. What. No no, they have the wrong women not my mom. My reaction finally comes with tears and me balling into Y/N's lap. She goes over my head a few times before falling on top of me crying after she hangs up.

"No no not mama please no. Mama!! Please mama please be okay!" I yell my voice distorting into Y/N lap. I cry and yell screaming my moms name over and over until I pick up my head.

"Why her, why not me."

Was it karma?! Because i took many lives, they had to take my moms?!! I ball up my fist punching the car's steering wheel making it honk loudly. I jump at the sound, pausing before starting to cry again.

"It's all her fault," I say with my face hurried into my crossed arms, which are resting on the steering wheel.

"What?" Y/N says softly rubbing my back.

"YOU! I wouldn't have done any of these things if you weren't in my life!" I yell jabbing my finger into her chest. "I did all of these things for you! Now when they finally come back, for revenge, they come after my mom! Why not me, take me!" I scream putting my hands up into the air.

I pause before putting my hands down looking over at Y/N. "I hate you. Get out of my car."I say wiping the tears falling down my face.

"Kairi-" She says, the tears starting to form once more in her eyes.

"I SAID GET OUT!" I yell pushing her out of my car.

"We're done." Is the last thing I say before speeding off, without thinking about what I said.

I take one glance back at her on her knees in the parking lot.

Heart broken.
