I don't get my words out there for the world all too often. I have my reasons, but I still can't really let everything stay bottled up, you know? It's just not healthy. So, I decided to publish my journal for all to see. I read through it and edited it to sound more like storytelling than the random word vomit that I actually wrote. I even added some stuff that I didn't write, but I remembered what happened.

So, anyhoo, I kept this journal for the entire time I worked under Chris McLean while he was the host of the Total Drama series. At one point I was an intern for one of his older shows, then I accidentally gave him the idea for the entire show and I got roped into helping him torture other kids my age. This is my story I guess. This is how I fit into Total Drama Island.

"Yo! We're coming at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario."

I rolled my eyes from behind the camera crew. I know that this is his job. He's a reality show host; he's supposed to be flashy. But it still bothered me every time I heard his voice and saw that "award-winning" smile on his face. I guess it was mostly because I didn't want to be there, but that was how I felt nonetheless.

You know what? I feel like you guys should know a little background info, first... My name is Kimiko Ishikawa. People generally call me Kim, and close family and friends tend to call me Kimi.

My birth-mom and dad are both from Japan, and my stepmom is from Canada. I lived with my birth-mom in Japan for the first five years of my life after she and my dad got a divorce. But, after certain events took place, I moved in with my dad in Canada. My stepmom came into the picture when I was about nine and it's been about eight years since then.

I'm voluntarily mute for reasons that I don't usually share. I will talk to people that I'm really close to, but even that's rare. At this point, that's really just my dad, my stepmom (who I really just call mom), Chris (who is a close cousin on my mom's side of the family), Chef Hatchet (who I really got to know through Chris), and my best friend, Jude. When I do decide to talk, I can speak in either English or Japanese. When I can't be bothered, I have sign language. I even have a notebook and pen as a backup plan.

I think that's enough background word vomit. So, yeah. Let me start over.

"I'm your Host, Chris McLean." He continued to smile, placing a hand against his chest as he introduced himself.

I didn't have much to do here at all. Really, I just silently followed the camera crew as Chris introduced the show and what would be happening. I wouldn't get my introduction until much later. I was only allowed on-screen when the campers started arriving. I stood next to Chris, not even bothering with a smile, as we waited for the campers to arrive. We had just come back from a commercial break, so it was about time for Chris to start talking again.
