=====LAST TIME=====

"You can borrow my pj's for the night. Just rub a little of the oil on your bites and you should be fine by morning." I threw the towel at her, leaving the stuff on the floor before closing the bathroom door.

Neither of us spoke to each other as she left.

Maybe I was still mad at her for what she did to Gwen. Maybe I was being petty. But the bitch deserved it. At least I helped her; I could've let her suffer.

=====NOW=====

Before we start this one, yes, I know that I skipped an entire challenge. You guys saw the episode. I wasn't there. Sure, I loaned Izzy a bear costume. And, yeah, I let Duncan bring his hook (which had originally been confiscated). But I didn't go with them. I spent the whole challenge practicing the Saxophone in my shack.

So, yeah, I didn't write about the campers' "roughing it." Sorry.

Bridgette and I were both at the dock with Sadie after her friend had left on the boat of losers. I sat down next to Sadie, a comforting hand on her shoulder, and Bridgette stood just behind us. Sadie's face was stained with tears as she lay on her stomach, her arms hanging over the side of the dock as she sobbed loudly.

"Katie would want you to keep going." Bridgette encouraged softly.

She had been trying to talk Sadie into a better mood for half an hour. Nothing was working, and Sadie continued to cry.

"Come on," she continued, if a bit frustrated. "Let's go back and join the others."

To my surprise, Bridgette grabbed Sadie from under her arms and started to pull. Sadie held onto the deck as tightly as she could, and I jumped up in surprise as Bridgette actually got Sadie to her feet. Sadie continued to cry, holding a piece of the deck in her arms.

I couldn't bear to hear her cry. It felt like I was physically hurting to see her so upset. I sighed, walking up to her and wiping her tears with the sleeves of my sweater. I smiled gently as she opened her eyes and sniffed. I gently, but firmly took the wood from her arms. As soon as I threw the wood into the lake, Sadie silently clung to my arm instead. I looked down at her, just sighing once more.

I looked up at Bridgette, who was silently watching our exchange, and nodded. The three of us made our way back to the bonfire. Everyone eyed the three of us in understanding as we sat down. Sadie and I, miraculously, ended up sitting on the same stump and I just pet her head as her crying settled down a bit.

Bridgette sighed, sitting next to Courtney. "It was a long goodbye."

We were only sitting for about a second before Courtney stood up, defensively placing her hands on her hips. "What do you guys want?"

We all - minus Sadie - turned to see the Gophers approaching us.

"Come by to rub it in?" Courtney asked.

None of us were really sure what to expect, but I grinned as the Gophers all smiled at us.

"We got some extra dessert after our tuck-shop party," Trent said, nodding his head towards Beth, who held up a plate of green Jello. "Thought you might want some."
