=====LAST TIME=====
Needless to say, I missed the Marshmallow Ceremony while I was on my search. I eventually found Owen, still naked, sleeping outside of a cave in the woods. I grabbed my phone, texting both Chris and Chef.
"Hey... Um, I may need a forklift... I found Owen..."
I sent a picture.
Eventually, Chef and I got Owen back to the cabins. Neither of us, however, could get him inside.
So, uh, goodnight, buddy?
=====NOW=====
===============================================================
I would tell you guys what happened before breakfast that morning. But I honestly can't remember much, and let's just say I was way too tired to bring my sharpie back to my shack when I was done. I didn't get as many naps as I should have during the last challenge. Then, we didn't get to have a free day before the next challenge because we were two days behind schedule.
I'll tell ya, I was back on the caring too much/not giving a shit path after a night of snoring. That's right. I heard it. It's a miracle the Gophers didn't. I didn't even bother changing that morning, trudging up to the Mess Hall in my pj's, my untied-shoes, and my hair that I hadn't brushed.
I could hear the snickering when I walked in, but no one had noticed me at all. They were all laughing at my handiwork. I silently trudged over to Chris, yawning and instantly hanging on his arm when I got to him. He looked down at me, saw the bags under my eyes, and he let me lay on him. He just ruffled my hair, not bringing up why I was tired or why I wasn't dressed.
He already knew I wasn't going to answer him anyway.
"Okay, what?" I glanced at the Bass table, where Harold was wondering why people were laughing at him.
Geoff chuckled into his hand, leaning across the table and whispering in the redhead's ear. "Someone messed with your face, dude."
Picking up a nearby spoon, Harold looked into it as if it were a mirror. He paused for a moment. Then he smiled, stroking his lip. "Hey, sweet stache!"
I "subtly" put my sharpie in one of Chris's shirt pockets. He laughed when he saw what I'd done, causing a few campers to glance our way. I saw a few cringing faces, but I heard Lindsay actually gasp. She had covered her mouth in horror and started walking towards me.
"Oh, Jim," She got in my face, trying to brush my hair with her fingers. "You look terrible!"
I gave her a blank stare. She wasn't doing too much, and I had no reason to really dislike her yet, so I held back my annoyance and just let her do.
"Did you not get enough sleep last night?"
I shook my head no, pausing to send Harold a death glare.
"So you heard it, too?" DJ asked, resting his head in his hand with a yawn.
I yawned as well, nodding my "yes."
"How are you tired? You slept for most of the last challenge while the rest of us had to stay awake." I didn't even look at Noah as I flipped him off, receiving quite a few gasps.
Chris gave the group a wide, flashy smile. "Trust me, guys," he said. "Her naps were for your own safety. You wanna tick her off now? Be my guest."
