"Sushi? Really?" Jimin asks me.
"Why not? I am absolutely craving it" I say.
"Well, there's pizza" he says. What is up with people and pizza?"I mean, you could get a pizza but I'm getting sushi" I stubbornly say.
"No no, I'll eat sushi with you" he quickly says."Then why are you making such a big deal?" I ask, looking at the menu. He shrugs.
"Well anyway, I'll order for the table" I say.
"Nice" he grins as he puts the menu down.I signal a waiter and he comes running. We order our drinks and I order our food. Jimin eventually stops me with "I think that's enough." I ignore him and order what I want.
"You aren't seriously going to eat all that by yourself?" He asks with slightly widened eyes.
"Trust me, it will be enough. Have you ever eaten sushi before?" I ask with a raise of my eyebrow. He shakes his head.
"That's why" I say."You say it like you've proven a point" he says.
"I mean, I sort of did. In my brain that is. You will see when the food comes. I'm glad you are open to trying new things though" I smile."Sure, it can't be that bad if you're eating it" he says.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I ask with a raised eyebrow."You read why too much in between the fine lines" he says with a shake of his head. I shrug. I guess that's true.
"So, tell me more about yourself. What do you do for a living?" He asks as he leans forward on his chair, ready to listen to what I was about to say.
"Well, if you're talking about my job that requires me to go to Europe, then I am a specialist in managing a business' money. I fix all their problems" I say.
"Must be a big company then" he says. I nod as the waiter brings our drinks.
"So, do you have more jobs because it sounds like you do" he pushes further.
"I guess you could say that. I like to do a lot of things in my life. I have a sort of checklist for what I want to do in my lifetime" I say."Wow, you are quite ambitious" he says as he sets his drink down.
"I'm sure you are as well" I say as I sip on my drink.
"Not really" he says."Not true. I'm so sure that you are changing those kids' lives because you actually care which lots of teachers don't anymore. They don't have the passion or will to teach anymore, unlike you" I say.
"Seriously, keep at it" I end off my speech. I look up at him."You... are something else, aren't you?" He says.
"So I've been told" I nod my head."It really means a lot to me. Being a teacher is not the easiest job in the world. Especially high schoolers. I sometimes question why I wanted to be a teacher especially to those hormonal teens" he says as he shakes his head.
"You must have some pretty interesting stories, some teens think they're all special and important. It's hilarious to watch" I say as I chuckle to myself.
"For sure, there is this one kid who seriously believes he has super powers. I obviously can't say anything and I'm glad I didn't. It played out so beautifully" he says as he chuckles looking back on the memory.
"Now you got to spill" I say as I lean in on my seat.We continued talking about all the hilarious situations that the high schoolers gotten themselves into and how he was being the best/worst teacher ever.
I was canning myself until I couldn't breathe. This guy knows how to tell a story. It felt like I was watching the situation unfold. Our food came in the middle of our laughs when he finished another story.
