"Jump!"
My mind screams
But I'm afraid to fall.
"Take the leap"
My gut says;
But what if I lose it all?
"Seize the chance"
Desire yells;
What if it's already gone?
"Get off the edge!"
Anxiety pleads;
But what if I want to stay?
"You'll be hurt again"
My scars tell me;
But what if it will be okay?
"Wait till you're sure"
Uncertainty advises;
Will there be another chance the next day?
"You'll be the fool"
The world warns;
But what if they're all wrong?
"Your wounds won't heal"
Hurt cries out;
But aren't the old ones gone?
"Why not?"
My beating heart asks;
So I jump, and take the plunge.
