"Pass me the baking pan?" I ask Pedro as we bustle around the kitchen. Its been a few weeks since we visited Sarah. Work has picked up with spring breakers and Brendon's birthday is next week. Work is planning a huge surprise party, which I'm sure Brendon knows but we all act like he doesn't. The party is going to be at the restaurant because that makes sense right? Food, bar, tables, you know all the stuff essential to a party. I think me and Brendon have seen each other probably 2 or 3 times for dinner at either of our places. We aren't really doing anything public, yet. Also we haven't done anything else besides make out. I think he's putting the breaks on now because of my comment the other night. He has forgiven/forgotten about it but I know its still lingering in the back of his head.

"Adler." I turn towards the voice, not realizing it was Brendon's. "You got a sec?" He asks peeking through the saloon door. "As a matter of fact, I do. Just put the croissants in." I take off my gloves, hat and apron as I walk towards him. We walk to his office together and he shuts the door behind us. "So next week is my birthday," he begins and I wait and listen. "I'm going home for a couple days to Vegas. And-"

"Yeah, I got the restaurant. Denise will be here don't worry." I smile softly but he just looks dead in my eyes. "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me, and see my family." He offers quietly but also confidently. Oh.

"Brendon, I don't think-" I begin, but just looking at him I know he means it. "Sure, when do we leave?" He smiles like a little kid and hugs me. Honestly besides our "dates" that's all we do is hug and hold hands, and well, cuddle. Its a nice change of pace but I think I want more. "We leave Monday, come back Thursday. Just in time for my party Friday. I give him a scowl about him knowing the party and he chuckles. "I have to know, I'm the booking manager." He laughs again and I join him. "Makes sense."

"Alright I have to get back to the kitchen. Unless there is anything else?" I ask and he shakes his head. I nod once and turn around towards the door. "Wait. Actually," I turn around and his lips crash onto mine, he picks me up and pins me against the door with a thud, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. He kisses me hard and fast and then my feet are back on the ground, and I'm panting as he pulls away. "Its been kind of PG lately and don't act like I haven't noticed." He pecks my lips again and opens the door. As I walk out, completely in shock by the way, he grabs my ass and I jump out of surprise. He laughs and shuts his office door behind me. I must be blushing so hard right now, I go into the bathroom so no one will see.

"You ready? All packed?" He asks over the phone. We haven't seen eachother much over the past week but he's been calling and again. I like this change of pace, I never had the phone calls, hand holding, you know teenager stuff. I went straight into relationships and I can't help but wonder if we are going to have sex in Vegas. I think it would be the perfect time honestly. We are away from everything, escaping the real world, until dinner with his parents that is. And to answer your question, no, I am not freaking out over meeting his parents. It doesn't make us super serious like people make it out to be, its just meeting new people. Right?

"Yes, I have everything." I finish cleaning up my kitchen so its in neat order for when I get back. Brendon is on speaker. "Bring a suit, our hotel has a pool and hottub." He adds on and now I have to pack that. "Oh ok,  sure." I also packed lingerie, you know just in case. Maybe I should pack the condoms too? Do you think he is even thinking about that? I mean he is a guy, I assume thats on his mind. Especially since this is technically our first trip away, and first sleepover. Ok now I'm getting nervous. "Addie?" He brings me back out of my thoughts. "Yeah?"

"Should I bring condoms?" I stop cleaning the counter and the line gets quiet on both ends. "Uh, s-sure." Fuck my stutter. "You don't sound so sure. You stuttered." He points out and I roll my eyes, good thing he can't see. "Yeah, its fine. Doesn't mean we have to, but if the opportunity comes up at least we are covered." I explain badly and he laughs. "I'll be covered, not you." He laughs harder and oh my god he is a teenager. "Ha ha, good one." I reply dryly. "No but seriously Addie, it doesn't mean we have to, like you said." He replies back and I smile at the phone. "Can you come over?" I ask randomly and I hear him cough. "What now? Its 11pm." I giggle, "so? Our flight isn't until 9am." I hear him shuffle and grab his keys. No lie, I heard it. "I'll be there in 30." He states and hangs up. Oh boy what did I just invite to my apartment.
