Chapter 15- Snake

The next day Myra is on her way to Bryan to get the poison for Aiden. She asks: ''And? Is it done?'' Bryan responds: ''Not yet. It takes longer than I thought. I had to catch a snake that can give me the poison. It was harder than I thought to find this snake but I just need to extract the poison out of it and then I am done.'' Myra says: ''You don't need to. Does a bite from the snake kill you?'' Bryan says: ''It needs like five bites from this snake to kill an adult. The bite is really painful though.'' Myra smiles: ''Then I take the snake. You don't need to extract the poison out of it. It will be more fun like this.'' Bryan says: ''You scare me sometimes.'' Myra laughs and puts the snake into a bag and is on her way to Aiden.

Ace sees his chance to speak with Bryan alone and he asks him: ''You know, I am wondering something. Yesterday I saw Myra torturing Aiden. She seemed like she did this before. I could be wrong but I can't get this out of my mind.'' Bryan says: ''You are right. She did this before. Countless times in fact. When Joe died she had a phase where she was full of anger. She always went into the forest and searched for members of Camp-10. Myra mostly killed them and let one of them live to torture him or her. I asked her why she is doing this and she just said that it is for getting more information about Taylor.'' Ace asks: ''So it was revenge for Joe?'' Bryan responds: ''Yeah, I guess. But I knew she never did this for information. She enjoyed it. She enjoyed damaging Taylor with this. He lost members of his camp and knew that it was Myra. She always carved Joe's name on their foreheads, so that Taylor knows why she is doing this and that this will be him in the future. I never blamed her for that. I know that it wasn't right but I understood why she did it.'' Ace asks: ''And what made her stop?'' Bryan responds: ''Tobi. He saw that Myra was suffering even more by torturing them. He spoke with her but she never listened. But Tobi didn't give up and spoke to her every day until she finally agreed with Tobi. She promised him to not torture anyone anymore.'' Ace is confused: ''But what about Aiden?'' Bryan says: ''Myra also promised Tobi that she will just torture those who hurt her friends. And Aiden did.'' Ace says: ''I understand.'' Bryan says: ''Don't think bad about her. Most of us would have done the same. In one way or another.'' Ace says: ''I know.''

Meanwhile, Myra is now by Aiden. She smiles and says: ''Guess what I have here! I brought two bags. One of them has something good in it and in the other is something bad. Choose one.'' Aiden says: ''I don't want to play your games.'' Myra laughs: ''Funny how you think you have a choice. Choose one or I will cut your nose off.'' Aiden says: ''Fine. The left one.'' Myra says: ''Let's see what's in there. Bread and a bottle of water. You're lucky! Here I will help you. Say ahh.'' Aiden doesn't open his mouth. Myra says: ''What? Aren't you hungry or thirsty? Do you want to starve yourself to death? This won't happen. If you refuse then I will use violence to make you eat. You are too weak in this state to even resist. So what's the point? Now say ahh.'' Aiden gives up and starts eating and drinking. Myra says: ''Good boy. Now let's see what's in the other bag. I let you choose which one to open first but I didn't say that we won't open both of them.'' Aiden says: ''You are heartless.'' Myra slaps him: ''Someone who tortured my friend to death isn't in the right to say something like that, you piece of sh*t.'' Myra opens the bag and takes the snake out and says: ''Look! Isn't it pretty? Oh, and painful too. Too bad for you. Don't worry it takes 5 bites to kill you. So let's start today with one bite. Tomorrow with two and so on. Fun, right?'' Aiden just lowers his head and doesn't say anything. Myra says: ''Nothing to say? Well then, let's begin!'' Myra puts the head of the snake on Aiden's arm and the snake bites him. He screams. The poison of the snake feels like his blood is burning and his skin is melting. Myra laughs: ''That's more like it!'' She puts the snake back into the bag and says: ''Damn I forgot to ask Bryan how long the poison will be in your system. Well, I will go and ask him then. See you tomorrow.''

Myra goes to Bryan and says: ''I forgot to ask you, how long does the poison work?'' Bryan says: ''I don't know for sure but I guess a couple of hours.'' Myra laughs: ''Man this sucks. Anyway a couple of days ago I sent a letter to Camp-8. I want Tessa and Adrian to come back. I think we can trust Ben. I have a good feeling with him. Also, they missed Tobi's funeral. They also have the right to say their goodbyes to him. They will arrive soon.'' Bryan says: ''If you think this is the best then I am okay with it. And I kinda miss those two.'' Myra says: ''Me too.''
