Chapter 26- War

A week has passed. Next week is going to be the war. Everyone is ready to fight. All the allies from Myra are meeting at Camp-19. She greets everyone and makes sure that everything is ready. She speaks with Ace and asks: ''Can you check the resources from the other camps? I want to be sure that they have enough weapons etc.'' Ace responds: ''Sure. By the way are the wolves ready?'' Myra says: ''Yeah, I made sure that they are used to the armors by now. They gonna be our surprise attack.'' Ace says: ''Good. Okay, I am on my way now. See you later.'' Ace gives Myra a kiss and goes to check on the other allies.

Another week has passed. Tomorrow is going to be the war. They are on the way to the battlefield to be sure that they are the first ones there. Myra announces: ''We are here! I hope everyone is ready! Tomorrow may be the last day for you. So make sure that you take as many enemies as possible with you! In this war, many are going to die but not meaningless! After this war, our family is going to live in peace! So fight for the peace that we all want and fight to protect your loved ones!'' Everyone cheers and is ready to fight for their lives.

A day has passed. It's finally time. Taylor and his allies are also there on the other side of the river. They are wearing a gas mask to resist the poison. Myra already knew that they would do that so this is no big surprise. But Taylor doesn't know about the wolves and that they have also grenades now. They are standing in front of each other. Before talking to Taylor, Myra says to Ace: ''You know, I never really told you that.'' Ace is confused and asks: ''And what?'' Myra smiles and says: ''I love you.'' Ace smiles, takes her hand, and says: ''I know that. I love you too.'' Myra says: ''Never forget me, okay?'' Ace says: ''That sounds like a goodbye.'' Myra says: ''Maybe it is. We don't know what is going to happen.'' Ace says: ''Don't worry. We will always be together.'' Myra smiles and goes towards Taylor and says: ''So it will end today.'' He says: ''I hope so. We have waited long enough.'' Myra and Taylor are looking at each other and are both raising their arm and yelling: ''The war begins now!'' Everyone runs, fights and kills. You can hear them screaming and yelling. The sound of the grenades and tear gas exploding. Minutes later Myra whistles and gives the wolves the signal to attack. They spring out of their hide place and are killing the enemies. They are ripping their throats out and you can see the fear in the eyes of the enemy.

Then Myra sees Taylor and takes her chance. She runs towards him with her sword and attacks him. He blocks it and they are fighting. Minutes later they are both exhausted and injured. Myra attacks again with her sword, Taylor blocks again and at this moment she takes her knife with the other hand and wants to stab Taylor's neck. He jumps back and she missed. At that moment he kicks the knife out of her hand and runs towards her and stabs in the knee. She fells and he laughs: ''I told you I am going to win.'' Ace sees what is happening and wants to save Myra but there are too many enemies blocking the way. He tries to fight his way to her. Meanwhile, Myra swings her sword and tries to get Taylor's leg. She is too slow and he also kicks the sword out of her hand. Myra stands up and Taylor says: ''Impressive that you can stand after losing this much blood. What are you going to do? You have no weapons now. Do you want to punch me to death?'' Myra laughs and says: ''You know I didn't spend all these years to let you live. You are going to die. I will make sure of that.'' Taylor asks: ''Funny. And how?'' Myra smiles and she takes a grenade that she hide and detonates is. Before Taylor has the chance to run away Myra takes his arm and laughs: ''We started this together, so let's end it together!'' She looks at Ace who is still fighting and he sees her smiling at him. In the next second, he sees the grenade exploding. He can't believe his eyes. Myra died in front of him and he couldn't do anything. He is distracted and an enemy sees his chance and wants to attack Ace but Lucy saves him. She kill the enemy. She turns around to Ace and slaps him and says: ''Now is not the time to grieve. This is war. Now that Myra is dead, you are the leader. Behave like one!'' Ace pulls himself together and continues fighting.

An hour later everyone is exhausted but Ace's side has still the upper hand. The enemy knows it. The enemy leader from Camp-4 screams: ''We give up! everyone put down your weapons! We have no chance!'' They do as he says. Everyone is cheering and happy that they won the war. Back in Camp-19 they are recovering and celebrating. But also grieving about the dead ones. Ace goes to Bryan and wants to tell him about Myra but Bryan interrupts him and says: '' I know that she is dead. Now you are the leader.'' Ace starts crying and says: ''How am I supposed to do that without her?'' Bryan calms him down while tears are rolling down his face: ''I know. I miss her too but you have to be strong for her. I will help you with that. I can be your right hand.'' Ace asks: ''But you never wanted to be the right hand.'' Bryan says: ''Myra said that maybe I am going to be the right hand in the future when I am ready. I think now is the right time.'' Ace says: ''Thank you.''

Ace announces: ''We have won this war! Myra and many others gave up their lives for this! But we will never forget them! They are and will still be a part of this camp! Of our family! From this day on, we will live in peace!'' Everyone cheers and agrees with Ace. Bryan tells Ace: ''Good speech. What are you going to do now?'' Ace says: ''I am just going for a walk. When I am back we are going to discuss this new part of our lives.''

Ace is on his way to the Soul tree. He carves Myra's name next to Cora, Joe, and Tobi. Ace smiles while having tears in his eyes and says: ''Now you are all finally back together. I hope we will meet again in the future. I love you.''
