Camp-19

Chapter 4- The deal

Lucy and Myra are arguing what to do with the members of Camp-8 who betrayed Camp-19. They can't let them go without punishment.

So Lucy says: ''Should we teach them a lesson? What about cutting them some fingers off? Or is that too boring?'' Myra smirks: ''You really are ruthless.'' Tobi interrupts them: ''Guys, please calm down.'' Myra laughs: ''Don't worry Tobi. We were just joking.'' Lucy responds: ''Yeah, sure.'' They discuss what to do now and agreed. Myra says: ''Camp-8! Is the right hand from Leon here?'' After a couple of seconds of silence someone says: ''Here.'' It was a boy who isn't older than 16. He looks weak and unsure. Not someone you would imagine to look like who is the right hand of the former leader. Myra is confused: ''You? A child? Why would have Leon picked you as his right hand?'' The boy was shy and didn't know what to say: ''Ehm, well...I guess because I am a good strategist.'' She laughs: ''Good one! If you would be a good strategist then your leader wouldn't be dead!'' He steps back and says: ''I didn't approve this plan. I told him to not attack because it would be unnecessary but he just did what he wanted.'' Myra respond: ''So you didn't want to fight? That's interesting. What's your name?'' He says in a low voice: ''Benedict, but you can call-'' He gets interrupted by Myra: ''What? Speak up you little brat! I can't hear you!'' He screams: '' Benedict, but you can call me Ben!'' He immediately realizes that he was too loud and gets red. Myra laughs: ''That's more like it! So Ben what do you think should we do with you all?''

Ben seems to get nervous but he knows that he has to respond with a good answer otherwise Myra and her people will kill him: ''I think after what happened you can't trust us anymore, but now after Leon died I am the new leader. I will promise to never betray you! Even though this won't help because everyone can break his words. So what about a deal?'' Lucy gets angry: ''A deal?! With you traitors?'' She packs him by his shirt and is about to hit him but someone stops her. It was Myra: ''Lucy let him speak first, then you can do whatever you want with him.'' Lucy let's go of him and he continues: ''Let's attack Camp-10 together. They still think we are allied with them so this is a benefit. We still haven't enough people for an attack but I heard that Camp-2 and Camp-17 want to attack Camp-10 to stop Taylor's plan. They need more allies for that and so do you. What do you think?'' Myra is amazed: ''Well, that seems like a good plan, but how are we gonna be sure that you won't betray us again?'' Ben thinks for a few seconds but then he as an idea: ''What about sending some people from your camp to Camp-8 to have an eye on us? They will sent you letters to let you know that we are peacefully and if something is off then they can write in a code to let you know. I and the other members of Camp-8 won't know the code if we would read the letter. Of course you can also visit us anytime to check on them!''

Myra thinks about his idea and discusses it with Lucy and Tobi. 15 minutes later she has a response: ''Alright! Ben we accept your deal. We will send 2 of my people to your camp. And if you betray me you won't have such an easy death as Leon. Remember that.'' Ben and Myra shake each other's hands as a sign that the deal is done. Myra asks her people if anyone wants to volunteer and immediately Tessa and Adrain raise their hands. Myra says: '' Are you sure? You know, I am very grateful to you. Don't worry it won't be forever. Just for the moment.'' Tessa and Adrian are sure and Tessa says: ''That's the least we can do for this camp.'' And Adrian also says: ''We will do everything to help!'' Myra smiles and hugs both of them.

A few days later Camp-8 and also Tessa and Adrian are on the way. Tobi is now also about to leave. He and some other members of Camp-19 are about to go and ally with Camp-2 and Camp-17. So he wants to say goodbye to Ace: ''Hey, Ace! I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave. You know since I am the right hand of Myra I must go, so don't blame me that you will be bored without me.'' Ace just laughs: ''Yeah, sure. Continue dreaming. So how long you gonna be gone?'' Tobi replies: ''Like a month, I guess.'' Ace says: ''Just make sure you don't die otherwise, Myra is going to kill you.'' Tobi laughs: ''Yeah, that's probably what she would do. So keep an eye on the camp while I am not here! See you!'' Ace smiles and says: ''See you!''

Now Tobi is gone and Ace seems sad. It started to get dark and he sits at the campfire and thinks. Then someone tabs on his shoulder...
