Their exit from the Wanderers of Shadows' camp had been unexpectedly and neither Kun nor Seoyeon knew where they were heading next. They had been driving aimlessly for a few hours before Seoyeon dared to mention Gwangju. She knew Kun didn't believe in a future. Especially a normal one in which they would have almost everything they would have had if the Zombie Outbreak had never happened. She knew he never trusted Josh and his talks about an underground community set up by their government.

Part of Seoyeon had doubted it as well. If the community was real, why hadn't she heard about it before? But she was so desperate for a future — a real one — that she had to go find out the truth for herself. And so she had suggested going to Gwangju to her boyfriend, who agreed to it after a small argument. Kun didn't like the thought of going back to a large city knowing how bad it had gotten out there, but there really weren't any other places he could think of that would hold anything valuable to them. So in a lack of a better place, they had set course to Gwangju.

The city was about a six hour drive from where they were and about three hours in, after already having used up their spare petrol, they had stranded just outside of Hongseong. They were forced to continue their journey on foot, which would take them roughly 60 hours of non-stop walking.

They had been walking for weeks, only managing to get in a few hours on a good day. Bad days mainly consisted of the two of them hiding out, trying to avoid bad weather and the Undead. They had been living on rainwater, candy bars and whatever edible items they could find on the way. They were weak. Too weak to walk great distances without long breaks to rest — too weak to fight off any enemies.

Finally, they were only 12 hours away from their destination and Seoyeon had done the math that they could reach it by the end of the week, if they just stuck to a four hour walk for the next three days.

As they got closer to the city, they came across more zombies, but also across more food. They figured no one ever came close to the major cities as it wasn't safe and therefor a lot of the food and other products were left untouched.

When Kun had gathered some canned food items, he returned to Seoyeon who was keeping guard outside. It had started to drizzle while he was inside the store and looking up at the sky, he could tell it wouldn't be long before it would come pouring down.

"We can hide out in one of those cars over there," Seoyeon said, pointing her right index finger into the direction of an abandoned car park.

Kun nodded in agreement before they ran across the street towards their destination. As they came near, a zombie appeared from behind a delivery van and Kun was fast to spot it.

"Lamebrain on your left!" He shouted and watched as Seoyeon spun around in her spot and cut the zombie's head off all in one swift motion.

"Lamebrain. Nice one," Seoyeon commented with an amused smile plastered across her face. She had always found it amusing to hear her boyfriend come up with names for the Undead.

"Still not the one, though." Kun retorted with a shrug as they continued to search for a car they could comfortably hide in for the rest of the night.

Not long after they found a car that wasn't locked and jumped in. They put their bags and weapons away and opened up the cans Kun had found so they could fill up their bellies, which were making scarier sounds than the zombie they had just encountered.

Once they were full and the sun had started to set, they cuddled up together on the backseat and watched the zombies roam the streets around them.

"Just look at them walk," Kun said after they had sat in silence for a while.
