CHAPTER 9: Rescue Effort

Fatgum's POV:

I hear the young man in the back call out to me. So I rush over only to be stopped at the door by Endevour's son Shoto Todoroki.

"There you are. Where's Bakugou at?"

"He's right where he's supposed to be. "

At that moment I started to absorb Shoto into my fat in order to knock him out. Unfortunately he was using his fire side. So I had to let him go. I saw a young man running out of the room with Bakugou on his shoulder knocked out.

"I need backup hawks."

I said over the radio.

"On my way."

Then a blast explodes the room Bakugou was just in. Once the smoke clears. They're gone.

"Hawks have you retrieved Katsuki Bakugou yet?"

"Negative, I can't find him anywhere.  It's like he just vanished into thin air."

"This isn't good.  We lost two students."

"Wait even Todoroki!?"

"Yeah he joined the League,  but I'm not giving up on them. Let's keep searching. "

"I'll fly overhead and see if I can spot them. "

"I'll check the building for any escape routes they could've taken."

Crust sends out his agency to search the streets nearby. We searched all night. Only to come up empty handed.

Hawks POV:

I kept trying until I was ordered to rest up by the police.  Seeing as hold me and Enji Todoroki are friends.  I figured I should be the one to break the news about his son to him. So I flew to his house and pirched at his bedroom window and knocked.

"What the hell hawks. It's 6: 30 in the morning.  I get your part bird but we all aren't up at the crack of dawn."

"Enji I have to tell you something about shoto."

"What happened to my son? Was he hurt?"

I look away because I can't look Enji in the eyes. So he grabs my coat and jerks me around in a shaking motion.

"What happened to him!? Tell me hawks!"

"Your son has joined the League of villains. "

Endevour let's me go and falls to his knees crying.  In all the time I've known him. I've never seen him cry.

"It's my fault. I'm to blame. I...I've lost another son."

If his kids don't try to become heroes and give up. In his mind they've died. Shoto was the second one to abandon his ideals. The first was his oldest son Touya.  Who no one has heard from since he left home ten years ago.
