After school I decided to get off the bus a little before my house and walk. I was in no rush to get home. As I walked through the park to go home I thought to myself. 'who will ask me out. Everyone seem to be going on dates, meanwhile I've never been on a date much less had a boyfriend. Not like I could. My parents wouldn't allow it.' "I wish I looked different," I whispered to myself. I reached on the main road and walked pass the sports complex. I heard a voice say, "could you pass that ball please." I looked down to see a ball in front of me. I took it up and threw it in the direction that the voice was. I saw the same guy from the hall today. "Thanks!" He shouted and I walked off and disappeared around the corner.
"Mom! I'm home!" I shouted as I closed the front door behind me. "In here sweetie!" Mom called from the kitchen. I walked in and found here making dinner. "How was school?" She asked "Well it's school, so. Yeah," I replied grabbing a cookie. "Something wrong?" Mom asked realizing I wasn't happy. "No just tired," I lied "Ok, dinner will be ready in a few. Go freshen up," mom said and I turned and walked to my room.

My room isn't big...it's average. And as I mentioned before, we're not rich so I'm not blessed with many gadgets. I have an iPhone 10 which was given to me by my uncle and a MacBook given to me by my parents both for my 16th birthday.
I walked to my room and showered then did my homework.
"BrI!!" Veronica shouted as she bust through my room door. I looked up at her in surprise. "What now?" I asked as she smiled at me. She gave me that 'I want something smile'. "Are you planning on going to the rock concert on Friday?" She asked sitting beside me on my bed. "No, why?" I asked folding my arms. "I want to go. But mom say I can't go unless you go," she said "Why not?" I asked. "Well they won't be here. And I can't leave you here alone. So you're coming!" She said springing to her feet. "Fine," I groaned and laid back on the bed and went on my phone.
I decided to go out back to read a book. I sat reading then I heard. "Didn't know you were my neighbor," a voice said from behind me. I quickly spun around as the voice sounded familiar. "Thanks for picking up the ball" he said and sat beside me. "Mhmm. Yeah, no problem," I replied "I'm Darrien by the way, didn't get your name," he said. "Brianna," I replied still glued to the book. "Nice name," he said. "May I ask what allowed you to feel I wanted company?" I said harshly as I stood then walked to my house. I heard Darien groaned then he walked off.
I went inside and ate dinner with the family then went to start my term paper.
(Scritch!!) I tore the paper I was writing on and threw it to the bin. "Too fricking childish," I said to myself. I am to be writing a paper on the best thing that ever happened to me and so far I had nothing. (RINGG) I looked down to see my best friend calling.

Brianna: Hey! What's up? Leah: Hey! I'm calling to ask if you're going to the rock concert on Friday. Brianna: yeah! My sister is forcing me to go. Leah: oh ok. See you tomorrow. Then she hung up. "What was that about?" I asked myself confused.
