My alarm echoed through the silence of the morning. I slapped the clock and turned pulling the sheets over my head.
'Why does she get everything and everyone she wants?' I thought to myself as I curled in a ball. I drifted back to sleep.

I felt a hand shaking me then I heard, "Brianna! Bri!"
I looked around to see my mom. "You're gonna be late for school."
I groaned then got up from the bed.
It's Friday so I looked through my closet for an outfit. I finally decided on a blue washed out jeans with a white long sleeve blouse with black heeled boots.

I walked downstairs

I walked downstairs.
"Come let's go," dad said and I looked at him confused. "The bus left 10 minutes ago."
Oh," I said and hurried to his car. I walked into the class and all eyes were pierced on me. I apologized for being late then made my way to my seat.

"You're hair is up," Leslie said when I sat.
"Yeah. They found out so, no need to hide anymore," I answered and she smiled. I looked over at Darrien who was starring at me. I smiled and he did too then turned back to listen.

"You ok?" Darrien said as he walked up to me after class. I looked around at my friends and held down my head.
"Yeah I'm good," I answered and he nodded. I didn't tell my friends about Alexander. I didn't know how to.
We walked to lunch. On my way Darrien took my hand and pulled me to the field.

"What's up?" I asked as we came to a stop under the bleachers.
"What happened?" He asked. I looked down and sighed then looked around.
"He cheated. I told you," I answered.
"Brianna! What happened?" He asked again.
"Look I saw him kissing a girl. Ashley," I said and the tears formed once more. He looked at me.
"I'm sorry Bri," he said and pulled me in for a hug.

When he let go he looked at me and asked, "you're gonna tell them?" "Don't know if I want to," I replied wiping my tears

When he let go he looked at me and asked, "you're gonna tell them?"
"Don't know if I want to," I replied wiping my tears.
"So how will you explain not seeing him?" He asked. I just shrugged. "Ok. Come on," he said and we walked back to the cafeteria.

"Where did you go?" Leah asked as I sat beside them.
"I was talking about something with Darrien," I answered.
"You've been spending quite a lot of time with him. Are you two fooling around?" She said
"No Leah," I answered.
"Bri. You have a boyfriend. How'd you feel if he had a friend that hung out with him the way you do with Darrien?" She said. I looked at her and my eyes watered. I got up and shoved the tray and ran away. I heard footsteps running behind me.
Darrien caught up to me in the parking lot.
"I have to tell them!" I screamed.
"Yeah," he said and hugged me agin.
"Are you serious right now," I heard Alexander's voice say and I turned to see him looking angry. "I've called, texted and no answer. Now I see why."
"Really!!" I shouted. I saw Darrien move towards him with a fist. "No D." I said stopping him.
"Yeah," Alexander replied.
"You have some nerve coming here," I said
"What do you mean?" He asked
"Ashley! Does her name ring a bell," I screamed and I saw his expression change. "I saw you Alex. At the theatre."
"I can explain," he said and walked towards me. When he did Darrien walked in front of me.
"Get out of here," Darrien said and Alexander looked pass him and looked at me.
"Whatever," he said and got into his car.

My friends joined me and they hugged me.
"Why didn't you say something?" Leah said as she held me tight. I just shrugged.
"Why are you all out of class?" Mr. Hall shouted and we spun to look at him then we walked towards the school swiftly.

I walked out of my final class and placed my books in my locker.
"Hey," Darrien said leaning on the locker.
"Hi," I said
"Have any plans this evening?" He asked. I looked up at him.
"Aaa not really," I answered.
"Good. Want to watch us train?" He asked
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know. Just think it'd give you something to do. Plus I could use some company to drive on the bus home," he replied. I smiled.
"Ok," I answered and he smiled.

I walked to the field and waited. I watched as the team walked on and trained.
Training lasted for two hours. It got kinda boring about half way but Darrien had given me his phone so I played games on it.

I heard the whistle and saw the boys run off the field.
"Hey," Darrien said plopping beside me breathless. His sweat splashed from his hair to my arm.
"You're sweaty," I said
"Daaaa. I was running up and down a field," he said pointing to the field. "I'm gonna freshen up then we'll go."
"Okay," I replied looking into his eyes then he smiled and walked away. I sat there in silence. Then it hit me.
'Sh*t Darrien likes me!' I started to put all our encounters together. How he got mad after Alexander and I started dating and how he just always smiled when he looked into my eyes.
"I like him too," I whispered to myself looking down at his phone.
