Time Skip to Thursday Morning
Adelaide's POV
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beeeeeeeep! Beeeee- “Gosh! I’m up!” I groaned as I smacked my alarm and it fell on the floor. I gently picked it up and put it back on my bedside table. As I stretched, I realized that today was my first day at Ridgemont. I groaned as I fall back into my mass of pillows. I looked at my clock and it read 5:45 and school starts at 7:45 and the drive is about 20 minutes so I had a bit of time. Since I showered last night, because I can’t shower in the morning for my life, I curled my long hair and left it down. I put on my favorite maroon skater skirt that ended at my mid thigh and wore a loose white cropped t-shirt. I did light makeup as I always did for school and put on my favorite pair of brown combat boots. I grabbed my Michael Kors bag and made sure I had my keys. For jewelry, I just had my gold studs and my favorite gold rings, one was an arrow and the the had the word love on it. I grabbed my iPhone from my charger and walked downstairs to go and have breakfast. Looking at the clock in our hallway, it was currently 6:45. Good. I have time to eat breakfast. I walked downstairs and it was silent, except for my mom cooking and my dad reading the newspaper. The twins didn’t have school until 8:45 so they’re probably still sleeping and I have no idea where Axel is.
“Mom, where’s Axel?” I asked her as she was making me scrambled eggs.
“He went to school extra early to work out or something like that,” she replied as she finished making my eggs.
“So I’m guessing I’m driving to school today?” I asked to no one in particular.
“Yes honey, you can take your Jeep and drive to school today,” my dad told me with a smiling face.
“Really?!” I’ve never really gotten to drive my Jeep since I got it for my birthday in June. I love it so much and I love driving it.
My dad started chuckling at my reaction and I could hear my mom giggling from the kitchen. “Yes sweetheart, take your Jeep and go to school, you don’t want to be late on your first day.”
“Yes Daddy, love you and see you later!” I yelled as I was walking out the door to our garage.
Once I got to the garage, I ran to my Jeep and drove to school. I got there in about 20 minutes, and I still had about 20 minutes until the bell rang. I parked in my assigned spot and walked into the main office.
“Hello dear, what can I do for you?” a lady at the front desk asked me. Her name plate read Julie Winters. “Well, my name is Adelaide Branson and I’m the new student.” I replied with a kind smile on my face. “Oh yes! Isn’t Axel your older brother? Oh, he’s such a sweetheart.” she exclaims with a polite expression on her face. “Ms. Winters I can assure you that you’re one of the lucky people that Axel is ‘a sweetheart’ to.”I replied chuckling slightly. “Well I guess you're right dear, but anyways, here’s your schedule and if you ever need anything Adelaide, I’ll be here,” she said as I turned away. “Okay, thank you Ms. Winters!”
As I walked out of the office, I heard whispers and I could see people staring at me. Then I heard someone clear their throat behind me, as I turned, I saw my ‘sweetheart’ of a brother watch me with his signature smirk on his face. “Why hello there little sister, I heard you were coming today,” he said to me slyly. “Yes older brother, here I am,” I shoot right back with my own signature smirk on my face. With that, I just walked away from him and his group of friends, hearing the wolf whistles that were coming from his guy friends.
My first class was Physics 1 in room 306. Walking around, looking for my class I bumped into a very hard and warm chest.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!” I hurriedly said. Looking up to see who I bumped into, I saw the most beautiful pair of blue eyes I’ve ever seen. They were a pale blue, but they had so much depth and I could see different emotions swirling around them. I must sound crazy, but the emptiness I’ve been feeling for so long seems like it’s going away just by looking into these eyes.
Tearing my eyes away from the stranger, I moved back so I could see who I bumped into. Looking up, I could tell that he was at least 6’2” and along with those amazing eyes he had pale blonde hair that was messy and his lips were the type of lips that you wanted to kiss all day and - oh my gosh what am I thinking? Snap out of it Adelaide! “I’m so sorry! I really need to watch where I’m going,” the mystery guy said to me. “I’m Jason, Jason Freedman.” “Well hello Jason Freedman and I really shouldn’t look down when I’m walking,” I replied with a sly smirk on my face. “Anyways, it was fun chatting with you Jason, but I need to get to class, I guess I’ll see you around.” I said to him as I was walking away. “Wait!! I don’t even know your name!” He called out tome, and I could hear him walking to try and catch up to me. Turning around I said with a smirk on my face, “Well Jason, that’s something you’re going to have to find out on your own.”
I guess Ridgemont isn’t going to be as bad as I thought. I hope.
So here’s Chapter 2! I think I’m going to update every Monday and Friday and the chapters will get longer I promise!
So what do you think is going to happen to Adelaide and Jason? Will they end up together? Keep reading to find out!
