High School Love?

Bow Bikinis and Hot-Tubs Chapter 5

PS: This book will always be in Adelaide’s POV unless I say otherwise in the beginning of the story

I woke up the next morning feeling like complete shit. My head was pounding and it felt like I had a hangover. I rubbed my eyes and stretched out on my bed as I usually do. As I was getting up from my bed, Axel walked in with a small smile on his face. 

“Good morning Adelaide, how ya doing today?” He asked me as he walked over to me.

“I’m doing okay, I think I’m going to try and go to school,”  I told him while I was picking my outfit for today.

“That’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about, you don’t have to go to school today, I called the school and told them you were sick.” Axel tells me.

I turned around looked at him with an obvious look of surprise on my face. “Really?” I asked him.

He starts looking at me with amusement in his eyes, “Yes, now go back to sleep or something.” He tells me as he walks out of my room.

I decide to just put my outfit choices away and go to my bed. Slowly, I fell back into a dreamless sleep.

About 3 hours later 

I woke up extremely groggy and my stomach growling like a freaking bear. I groaned and got out of bed. I padded out of my room and walked into the kitchen in search of food. On the refrigerator, there was a not from Axel.

Hey Addie, 

I made some mac ‘n cheese thats on the stove for you and there’s chocolate pudding in the fridge. I’m going to school, so if you need anything just text me . I’ll pick up the twins today, don’t worry about them. Have a good day little sis.

Grinning, I practically ran over to the stove, while grabbing the bowl and spoon that were next to it. I scooped a big bowl of mac ‘n cheese and grabbed my water bottle from the fridge. I walked over to our tv room and decided to watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I know a lot of people who hate them, but personally, I could watch their tv shows all day just because they’re so entertaining. 

I was in the middle of my fourth episode and my fifth bowl of mac ‘n cheese when I heard my phone go off, signaling I had a text.

I got up from the couch and grabbed my phone from the table. I looked at it and saw that it was a unknown number. I opened it and it said Hey it’s Jason, Axel gave me your number :) 

Smiling, I type back a quick reply and save his number in my phone. 

I spent the rest of the day watching the Kardashians and scrolling through Tumblr. Axel got home with the twins at about 4:30, so I made sure to leave some food for them all, because Axel made a ton of mac ‘n cheese. 

All three of them came running through the door, and I’m guessing it’s because about 10 minutes earlier, I had texted Axel and told him there was food waiting for him and the twins when he got home. Laughing, I get up from the couch and walk over to them, greeting the twins and Axel. To my surprise, I also see Jason walking through our door. I turn to Axel and see that he has a smirk adoring his annoying face. I grab him and pull him into the kitchen. 

“Axel, why the hell is Jason here?!” I whisper-scream at him.

“Nothing, we were just going to hang out and then go in the hot tub later when the twins were asleep.” He told me while running his hands through his hair. 

Sighing, I walk away and I hear Axel call out, “You can join us if you want!” I turn around and see him with yet another smirk on his face, I turn around and go up to my room while my middle finger is up in the air. 

Walking into my room, I look at my phone and see that Jason texted me back and I didn’t realize that today was Friday, so it made sense why Jason and Axel were going to go to the hot tub. 

I decide that I WILL join Axel and Jason because why not. I look through my bikini drawer and I have my three favorites out. The first one is my favorite and I got it from Victoria’s Secret. It’s a bandeau and is teal and black, the top is a zip-front and I love it. The second one is coral and white polka dot and the bottoms are white and coral with strappy sides. The third one is a bow bikini but it has no bow on the top but in the back it has a white bow and the rest is black. I was looking at them when I hear a small knock on my door. I turned around and saw Jason standing there.

Smiling, I let him come in, “Hey Adelaide, what’s up?” 

“Oh, nothing, just trying to decide which bikini to wear,” I tell him as blood rises in my cheeks.

Jason doesn’t even realize I’m blushing, and if he does, he’s not saying anything about it. He walks over to my bed where my bikinis are laid out. He looks at them carefully for about 5 minutes and the he says, “I like the bow one, I think you would look amazing in it,” he tells me cheekily. 

I giggle at him, while trying to ignore the butterflies in my stomach wait what? Why am I getting butterflies? 

“Yeah, I was thinking that one too,” Just as I say this, we turn to the door where Axel is leaning against the door frame, watching us as if we were a movie. 

“Oh hey Axel,” Jason says casually while I try to stop blushing in front of my brother.

“Hey, Jason, I just changed for the hot tub, and I put the twins to bed, so whenever you wanna change, my room is just down the hall.” Axel says.

“Cool, I’ll go change now,” Jason says and walks past me, smiling at me.

As Jason leaves, Axel turns to me and looks at me with another smirk on his face. 

“Why do you keep smirking at me Axel? It’s getting really annoying,” I huff at him, crossing my arms over my chest.

“No reason little sister,” is all he says as he walks out of my room.

He stops before he goes down the hall and he says, “Oh, and try to not jump Jason’s bones in the hot tub, please wait until I leave.”

With that, he walks away, leaving me shocked and very confused. 

I’M SO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE. SCHOOL IS A PAIN IN THE ASS 

So is Adelaide getting some butterflies over Jason? hehehehe

Hopefully, Axel doesn’t say anything about the little moment that Jason and Adelaide shared in her room.
