One week later...
Sokka POV
School got shut down until further notice. We all know that means no regular school until at least senior year. Zuko is still at my house, that might sound weird but we basically live together, sometimes we do this at his house.
We've been sleeping until basically 1:00 pm every day. The school work is easy, we just divide it, I do half and he does half, and then we just copy the other's answers.
We both have been ignoring our mini make out session. I don't want to, I want to talk to him about it, but I know if I do that he probably won't want to be friends anymore.
Zuko POV
I can't stop thinking about Sokka. He's always the first thing on my mind when I wake up and the last thing I think about when I fall asleep. All my dreams are about him. I feel like he feels awkward sharing his bed with me now. I should go home.
"Hey Sokka?" I turned to him
"Yeah, what's up?" He looked up at me
"Uh, do you think it would be best if I just... went home?" I asked him, hoping he would say no
"No, why?" Sokka giggled
He has such a cute laugh. What am I saying?? I'm straight. I'm straight. Can I still be straight and date a guy? Why would he want to date me? Why am I thinking about this?!
"EARTH TO ZUKO!" Sokka yelled in my face
"Fuck!" I yelped, startled
Sokka laughed again.
"What were you thinking about?" Sokka smiled at me
You, Sokka, I'm thinking about you. "Uh just this guy." I say, staring off into space. Only a third of my attention is on this conversation.
"Ooh... does someone have a crushhhh?!" Sokka asked excitedly
"Wait what did I say?" I questioned, turning my attention back to Sokka
"You said you were thinking about a guy. Do you have a crush on someone?" Sokka replied, still smirking
"What? No, I meant to say girl." I denied it quickly
"Oh.." Sokka said, seeming disappointed "Well do you have a crush on a girl?" Is it Mai?" Sokka questioned, less excited
"Uhm.. y-y-yeah it is.." I trailed off, lying
"Cool! Are you gonna ask her out?" Sokka continued with my interrogation
"No. She's cool but she seems... stuck up." My voice cracked a little at the end
"Mai?" Sokka was confused "Mai?! Mai is like the most chill person at our school, she never complains, she doesn't do... anything! She just reads!" Sokka exclaimed, understandably confused
He was right, Mai was the opposite of stuck up.
"Uh, yeah. I don't really like her that much anyways, I just thought she was kinda..." kinda what, Zuko? God I'm so STUPID. "Kinda cute, I guess." I finished
"Oh ok." Sokka said quietly
"But not cute in the 'I have a crush on you' way, cute in the 'oh! What a cute... aaa-" what am I saying what am I saying what am I saying "aaalligator.'" I finish, my voice cracking AGAIN at the end.
"Huh." Sokka said "Who else do you think is a cute alligator?" He asked with a straight face.
"You're a cute alligator, that cat we saw with its ear slit, Chandler Bing's a pretty cute alligator." I replied, not breaking eye contact and not cracking a smile
"Chandler Bing, huh?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed "Remember how everyone thought he was gay?" Sokka asked, finally smiling
"Shut up!" I laughed and punched him in the arm
Sokka giggled and rubbed his arm
"I think you're a cute alligator too." Sokka told me when our laughter subsided
"Do you really?" I asked sarcastically
"You actually give out more of a sexy crocodile vibe." He informed me
"Is it because of my scaly skin?" I asked, smiling and nodding
"Oh yeah definitely. And your tail? That's the best part, really turns me on!" Sokka said, laughing
I cackled a little but it was more of a laugh.
"Like when you kissed me?" I asked, still grinning. Fuck I'm dumb. Why can't I control my mouth?!
"I didn't kiss you, you kissed me!" Sokka said, still laughing
"Someone's in deniaaal!" I say in a sing-song voice
"I'm not in denial! You were on top of me!" Sokka said loudly, still giggling
"Because someone punched you in the face and I was cleaning your cut up!" I laugh harder
"Oh yeah right!" Sokka laughed "You totally have a crush on me." He said sarcastically
I scoffed and laughed
"Oh you think it's funny?" He asked, being sarcastic again but this time laughing
"Yeah, really funny." I whispered, smirking
"So are you gonna kiss me again or is our little fling over?" He asked being sarcastic as ever
"If course I am, what did you think I was gonna do?" I whisper "You have to close your eyes first though. Really enhance the magic." I said normally
"Oh yeah of course." Sokka nodded laughing and closing his eyes
I give him a little flick on the forehead
"Hey! Ow!" Sokka laughed
I should've kissed him.
Sokka POV
I guess he doesn't like me then. Fuck.
Hey! So ik this is an incredibly strange chapter but when I write, things just sort of happen. Especially when it's something I want to write. The alligator was... a very dumb thing to add but as I was writing the part where Zuko was stuttering, I just thought of alligator so I went with it.
There's going to be other weird things in this story too, I just wanted to let y'all know why.
