"What's your name?" He asks, making his way over to the rickety doorway and nearly covering it with his stature. He seems slightly amused as he watches me realize he blocked my exit.

"Ava" I whisper, shifting awkwardly as I stand in the middle of the small room. I watch him as he tilts his head sideways observing me.

"Okay. So, you've caught me, now what?" I say with a rush of unusual boldness. My face remains passive but on the inside my heart beats uncontrollably at my sudden surge of nerve.

"Bow down." he commanded. The sound of his voice vibrated deep within my bones causing intolerable pain as if they were going to snap. His eyes now silver taking on a beast like aura. He took a few steps towards me and I felt his power forcing me to bow down in submission. The closer he gets, the heavier the weight on my shoulders become until I was lying at his feet. I have never felt such power before in my life. I thought this was an urban legend and yet here I am, rendered helpless.

"You will respect me and speak to me accordingly. Understood?" He spat.

"Y-yes Alpha Adonis..." I choked.

"Stay here until I come back for you when the sun sets. You will stay bent over like this even if your knees bleed and your bones break. Consider this my warning and my mercy." He breathes as he walks away, slamming the door behind him.

I stayed there with my forehead on the splintered wooden floor and my eyes closed. I was petrified and humiliated. I tried to move and get up, but I just couldn't. I hate him! I started to scream for help, hoping someone would hear me. I knew all the aids were in the pack house by now working, but I had to try. I clawed the floor out of frustration as I felt water build up in my eyes.

"No. I refuse to cry... I refuse to be weak!" I said to myself through gritted teeth.

Time passed and the sun was beginning to descend. I was in a daze of pain as the wood floor soaked up blood that leaked from my raw knees. My back and neck were tortured by the continuous effects of gravity. Sweat soaked my rugged tattered clothes. My mind began to travel anywhere but here as I slipped into a memory of Ms. Gretta and I.

"It's bedtime Ava!" She called. I quickly ran with my pig tails lagging as I leaped into the old bed.

Asking sweetly, I said "Can you tell me a story?" She wordlessly climbed into the small bed and cleared her throat.

"Once Upon a time I met an Alpha who had the power to control people with just the sound of his voice. He was big and scary; you know what he told me to do? He ordered me to dance like a chicken!"

Nothing but giggles could be heard from the both of us before we got quiet again and I whispered. "Can Alpha John do that?"

Lowering her voice, she replied "Nope. Only really strong wolves have that ability."

"Can I do that too Ms. Gretta?" I asked bumbling with excitement.

"Of course, honey! As long as you keep up with your chores and brush your teeth twice a day you can do anything!" She said as she tickled me.

I chuckled slightly at the sweet memory. So, it wasn't just a story at all. She was telling the truth. The room was now pitch black as I opened my eyes when his voice called out from the corner of the room. "You can get up now. I figure you may want to stretch your limbs so let's go for a run. What do you say Doll?"
