Ch. 6: Headed Home for Christmas

~(Y/n) POV~

Finally. Winter holiday. I can go home, enjoy so time with my mum, and just get a break from all this school stuff.

I walk to the great hall to get some breakfast. Classes were cancelled about a week ago so the students could start packing, I had finished last night so now I was just waiting for the train to arrive to take most of the students to King's Cross. Once I reach the great hall I find a seat at the Gryffindor table and put two chocolate chip waffles on my plate and cover them in syrup.

"Heya (y/n/n)" Lee greets as he sits across from me.

"Hey lee" I smile and take a bite of my waffles.

"Have you seen the twins anywhere?" He asks, grabbing a piece of toast. I shake my head slightly. Where are they? They're usually down here by now.

I swallow the bite I took of my waffle. "Weren't they in your guy's room?" I asked, confused as to why he was asking me when he shared a room with them.

"No they weren't." He takes a bite of his toast.

"What the fuck? Where could they be? I know they haven't left yet cause I'm still waiting." I continue eating my breakfast as Lee nods.

Lee and I soon finish our breakfast and decide to look for the twins.

"I bet they're trying to pull a last minute prank dontcha think?" Lee asks as we walk through the halls looking for Fred and George.

"Probably. But where?" I respond, checking every little nook and cranny for hidden prank items.

"Mmm probably Fil-" Lee was cut off by a yell up ahead of us, seeing a VERY angry Snape with bright pink hair rushing our way.

"You two!" He yells at us, "Where are the twins?" He questions furiously.

"We don't know professor, we were just looking for them." I say calmly. I was one of Snapes favorite students apart for all the Slytherins.

"Ugh! Well tell them they have detention starting the week that you all get back from holiday whenever you find them!" He snaps and walks off, heading to the headmasters office I assume. Lee and I exchange a look then quickly run off to find the twins.

After 10 minutes of searching we finally find them, still laughing their asses off, in the hallway near the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

"Finally we found you!" Lee exclaims from beside me, causing the twins to jump at his voice.

"We've been looking everywhere for you two dammit! Where the hell have you been?!" I continue without letting them say anything.

"Well we kinda sorta pulled a prank on Snape and-" Fred says, only to be cut off by me.

"Yeah we know that much! By the way you two have detention the week we get back."

"Okay okay whatever" They say.

"Can we continue now?" George asks. I nod.

"Alright. As Freddie said, we pulled the prank, watched Snapes reaction and as soon as he noticed us we ran." George explains, Lee and I listening carefully.

"His reaction was bloody hilarious too!" Fred exclaims, laughing again. I just shake my head.

"Should we be headed off now? The train is arriving any second" I ask as I turn to leave to the train, the boys in tow close behind.

We board the train, our bags packed and in our hands. I walk back to where I had sat on the way here, entering and placing my bags down next to my feet. The boys show up shortly there after and sit just as before with Fred by me and George across from us but this time, it wasn't just us three. Lee walked in behind the twins and sat by George.

"You all ready to go home?" I ask, curling up in my coat to stay warm, and leaning on the window.

"Yup definitely. The burrow is great you should come visit this summer!" George says, excitement filling his voice. Fred nods in agreement.

"Yeah it's super fun! And our mum is such a great cook too! You'd probably have to sleep in Ginny's room though" Fred says happily.

"Your little sister?" I look at him. Both him and George nod. I smile lightly, "that's fine! I don't have siblings but I do have little cousins I sometimes have to take care of so this'll be fun!"

"Yup. Honestly Gin is great, she's so sweet and kind and adorable. You'll love her I promise!" George gushes as Fred laughs.

Fred stops laughing and says lovingly, "she really is the sweetest little thing but careful not to piss her off. She fights for what she believes in and lemme tell ya she's one hell of a fighter"

"I like her already." I smile and lay back against the window, my body facing the boys, adjusting my positioning so I can be comfortable.

We all talk for a bit longer until my eyes start feeling heavy and I start getting tired. I fight to stay awake but I'm just not able to. My eyes close and the voices of the twins and lee slowly get quieter and quieter as I drift off to sleep.
