Ellie felt exhausted the rest of the day which wasn't a long time considering she took her little nap at around five o'clock and awoke at five-thirty but it was enough to make her nearly fall asleep at supper.

She brushed it off and told her grandmother it was because she wasn't feeling that well which caused a fuss. Ellie was just thankful that she was sent to bed early.

Ellie opened her eyes and found herself in a new spot, she wasn't surprised seeing as Five was now stuck there.

"Five?" She called out.

"Dolores?" Ellie walked around and found him in front of the ruins of the Gimbel Brothers Department store.

"What are you doing?"

"Well, Dolores, if I'm going to be stuck here until I get to figure out how to get back, I'm going to need some basic essentials to, you know, survive," Five said, rummaging through some rubble. Ellie nodded before remembering that he couldn't see her.

"How long has it been for you since I left?" She asked. Five furrowed his brows in thought, pulling a wagon out from under some rocks.

"Half an hour, maybe." Ellie let out a hum.

"Time works differently when I'm sleeping then. It's actually night time now so I'll be able to stay for a lot longer, hopefully."

"Good."  Ellie helped out Five find some things he would need to survive. She felt horrible knowing that she would have to leave him when she woke up. She hated to admit it but her crush on him only seemed to grow.

"I don't really like talking to the air," Five said suddenly, "I need something else to associate with your voice." Looking at the ground, Five picked up a mannequin and held it up. She wore a black and white polka dot shirt. It made Ellie cringe.

"Absolutely not." Five placed it in the wagon anyways causing Ellie to sigh.

"That looks nothing like me and I mean, seriously, a mannequin?"

"Look I'll give Dolores Two a wig and a hat," he smirked as he heard the girl groan.

"That's not even my hair color!" She said pointedly. Five shrugged.

"How was I supposed to know that?"

"You've seen me before!"

"That was so long ago."

"It's been like two and a half days!"

"Well, I have very limited resources. I'm working with what I got," his smile didn't leave his face as they bickered back and forth.

"At least give her," Ellie paused and looked around trying to find something she liked, "the sequence coin purse by the rock that's shaped like a castle."

"I didn't take you for a sequence person," he said looking around. Ellie shrugged.

"Because you don't know me." Five picked up the bag and placed it next to Dolores Two. After that Ellie decided she wanted to get to know Five. The questions started simple. Favorite color, favorite book. Small things like that. But the conversation quickly escalated to things much deeper as they recalled some of their favorite memories. Ellie told him the story behind her nickname Ladybug and saw him laugh really hard. it seemed like he hadn't for a long time. When it was his time to share he opened up about his family and his home life. Ellie hadn't realized how horrible it was for them, she had only seen them celebrating their jobs on the news she hadn't taken into consideration the gruesome training they had to undergo. It finalized the bond between them. Creating an unbreakable connection.
