The couple awoke with a start as the building came crashing down. FIve grabbed Dolores tightly and spatial jumped them outside, in front of the academy. Dolores held his hand tightly and watched the building fall.
"Is it an earthshake?"
"Earthquake. And no, I don't think so."
"Oh," Dolores mentally repeated the word earthquake in her head. What did quake even mean? Why wasn't it shake? While Dolores pondered the new word, Five grabbed a newspaper from the ground, keeping their hands interlocked.
"Shit."

"Guys!" Dolores struggled to keep up with Five as they stepped over the pieces of rubble. She let go of his hand and gripped his arm tightly to help support herself.
"This is it, the apocalypse is still on. The world ends today."
"I thought you said it was over?" Luther asked. Dolores stepped away from him.
"I was wrong, okay? I found this newspaper in the future, the headline hasn't changed.
"No, that doesn't mean anything. The timeline could have been altered since that newspaper came out this morning," Diego reasoned.
"You're not listening to me! When I found it, I assumed the academy came down with everything else. But here we are, the moon's still shining, the Earth is in one piece, but not the academy." Klaus tore the newspaper out of Five's hand and fumbled with it.
"I'm confused," he muttered. Dolores sighed. She was always confused.
"Then listen to me, you idiot! Vanya destroys the Academy before the apocalypse," Five started, he used his hands to gesture, taking Dolores's hands with him.
"We all assumed Harold Jenkins was the cause, but he was the fuse. Vanya is the bomb. Vanya causes the apocalypse." They shared a look. Five gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. She squeezed it back. The sound of nearing helicopters and police sirens made Dolores jump.
"We have to find her," Luther stated. The bright lights finally caught up with the helicopters blinding Dolores. She squeezed her eyes shut and gripped Five's hand tighter.
"We gotta go, now," Diego urged.
"Regroup at the Super Star, go!" Without a second glance at his siblings, Five snaked his arm around Dolores's waist and jumped them to the Super Star parking lot. She nearly fell over from the sudden change.
"What's a 'super star'?" She asked, trying to find her footing. Five helped her steady herself before answering.
"It's a place. For bowling." Dolores gave him a blank look.
"What's bowling?"
"A game." She sighed. Her head was starting to hurt.
"Five, my head hurts." His eyes softened. He pulled her into a hug.
"I'm sorry, I should have warned you I was going to jump. I'll get you some water inside." Dolores nodded, suddenly feeling tired. Even though she just woke up during the destruction of the academy.
"Five, what if we can't stop the apocalypse?" She asked.
"I don't know, ladybug. We just have to hope we can."
