hi all!
this is not an update (but i will update tomorrow morning) just thought i'd briefly touch on the issue that's ongoing right now.
for the past few days, i've been super active on twitter, and i was able to witness the BLM movement through social media.
i grew up in asia, in an asian household, and i've never step foot into america before to see how brutal racism is.
i am going to be honest, and say that as a chinese, growing up in a chinese family, i have been taught, when i was younger, that the darker skin tone means danger.
that being said though, through social media i've come to realise that it is so wrong, although racist remarks may seem like a harmless joke to some, but to others, it can really hurt.
and this is when i am glad that this movement is ongoing. despite what our older generations might have taught us, we've looked past it and do what is right.
no one is born racist, racism is taught.
now that our generation is speaking up about it, and we will pass it on to our future generations the right thing to do.
