As they say, all good things must come to an end. I WILL be back to write an epilogue. So its not totally the end just yet. (i just wanted to prepare ya'll). I got a little emotional writing this chapter. T is for Tonks is the first fanfic I've seriously published. I've written a few successful oneshots on my old Tumblr before, but I've never committed to a series. I was blown away by the response I've had. I have started another fic, called survivor. Its a Snamione fic, which i know is never going to be as popular as Remadora, due to the nature of the pairing. Thank you to everyone who has allowed me to indulge in my fantasy. Stay safe. H.x

"Dora! We need to leave!" Remus shouted up the stairs of the London town house, as loudly as he could without waking that infernal portrait. He was anxious to be on time for his dinner with her parents, he knew it was important to her for them to get on. He didn't think it would be the best first impression if they were late. Remus was dressed in his most expensive dress robes, which he had gotten from a second hand shop. He wore a grey shirt and trousers with brown robes. He had shaved for the occasion and tried to style his greying hair. Tonks had just laughed at his attempt to style what no man had succeed to taming before, and told him to act natural. That was easy for her to say.

When Tonks walked down the stairs, he had to double take to ensure that he wasn't dreaming. She wore a virgin-white summer dress which fell just above her knee. It was made of simple linen cotton which made it light, although a little stiff, and was decorated with embroidered eyelets. Remus couldn't help but wonder if she had changed her breasts to make them look a little more plump under the dress. He was thankful that she didn't notice he was staring at her breasts, as it would likely get him in trouble. In true Tonks fashion, she wore a pair of sparkly pink Doc's on her feet and her hair was styled into tight lilac curls that tickled her neck.

"Bloody Hell, you look beautiful." He gaped, as she neared the bottom of the stairs.

She grinned. "No need to look so surprised, Rem."

It was true, Tonks had been a less than functioning mess over the past two weeks. In her arm was a wooden cane, with a curved handle that she still relied upon to help her walk. On her left leg, there was obvious swelling and fading yellow bruises from the night at The Ministry. The day before, Tonks and Remus had headed to St Mungo's so that they could remove that damned plaster cast that had been plaguing her mobility for weeks. Remus and Tonks were stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment. They couldn't stay at Grimmauld place much longer, with Harry taking ownership, they both felt like they didn't belong. Remus's vault at Gringotts was unsurprisingly empty and Tonks's crutches made it difficult for them to view places. Time was ticking for them, and in a week she would be going back to work.

It was a simple decision for them both, to get a place together. Tonks had never lived alone before and Remus couldn't afford to live alone. It was the best for both parties. They had decided, after fruitless searches in The Daily Prophet and letting magazines looking for a house, that they would get a small flat in London. That way Tonks could easily walk to work and they wouldn't be too far from Grimmauld place, if Harry decided to live there after he graduated from Hogwarts.

Remus had taken Tonks's cane, whilst she shrugged on a light blue denim jacket that she had found in the lost property bin at work. It was donned with fake gemstones and was tastefully ripped in some places, she had fell in love as soon as she had seen it. Remus handed her back her walking aid. "I always think you're beautiful, my love." he buttered. "Are we going to Floo to your parents house or are you well enough to apparate?"

"Lets apparate." Tonks enthusiastically grabbed onto Remus's elbow.

Her parents lived in the suburbs, an easy journey to the city but never any more than a 10 minutes walk to the fields and country side. Remus seemed to be put at ease by how non-threatening their house looked. Reminding himself that this was where his girlfriend had grown up. From the outside, you would have guessed it have been in the occupancy of muggles. There was even a garage for her dad's car, which Arthur Weasley would have loved. There were flowers in hanging baskets on each side of the porch doorway. Tonks told Remus of how she had broken them once in a flying incident when she was 12, as they knocked and waited for someone to answer the door.
