Chapter 27(Getting Checked Out)

Anastasia Rosaline Blade's POV

Elijah was driving while Xavier and I talked about random things.

I still didn't trust my brothers fully but, I didnt mind talking to Xavier.

He is the nicest and kindest brother.

I found out that Xavier likes the colour blue and wants to open up his own restaurant when he is older.

After driving for about 20 minutes Elijah stopped outside what looked to be a warehouse.

I felt chills looking at the place. It looked so old and unused.

I hesitantly stepped out of the car and followed Xavier and Elijah inside.

Surprisingly the inside of the warehouse was different from the exterior.

It looked so modern.

It basically looked like a hospital.

There were a few mens with tattoos and muscular bodies who nodded at Elijah and Xavier.

They looked scary so I inched closer to Xavier and gripped the back of his shirt.

I guess Xavier noticed I was scared, so he held my hand.

It actually comforted me and I was glad that Xavier came along.

"Sbrigati, ha paura" Xavier said to Elijah.
(Hurry up she is scared)

My heart warmed at the fact he told Elijah to hurry because I was scared.

Elijah turned behind and saw me looking scared and increased his pace.

I was terrified on the inside.

I havent been to a hospital in so long.

Memories of mom filled my head.

Her last words.

The first time she was admitted in hospital.

The doctor tellling us to say goodbye and that she couldn't make it.

It is memories, I told myself.

I cant change the fact that mom died.

She is gone now. I have to move on. Be brave. I told myself.

Although this wasnt a hospital, it still reminded me of one.

I was scared on the inside but on the outside I kept a calm facade.

I couldn't be weak anymore.

Be brave, I reminded myself.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even realise that Xavier and Elijah brought me inside  a room.
